Yeah I‘ve been really into NL-drama lately. It‘s like, the new big thing. Do you know ‘goede tijden, slechte tijden?’ Or ‘Flikken Maastricht?’ Or the ‘verliefd op Ibiza’ movie series? If you want to start, you should start with ‘goede tijden, slechte tijden.’ It’s been going on for 36 seasons, but you can just start whenever. Yeah that’s how NL drama works I think, cool right?! The production value isn’t high and the actors aren’t always good, but like, it’s still fun. It may be difficult to understand because they have so many Dutch cultural references. Like, you have to understand the cultural symbolism of Broodje Kaas. It’s a deep, culturally important food. I’ve tried it to get more in touch with the culture. Also I’ve started learning Dutch, it’s really not as difficult as people think. I’m planning on visiting next year; do you think I’ll meet I’ll Jim Bakkum?

#this came to me by considering that the low acting qualities and like ten sets they use in a certain thai drama #is awfully reminiscent of the whole six or so sets they use for a tv programme that’s been on the tv for THIRTY-SIX! seasons #but yeah GTST has the production quality of a roll of kitchen paper #dutchcore #dutchblr
