This is just a big fat list of the fics I’ve read all in one place that I will regularly update, plus descriptions.

General

Yavanna, Guide Me by BitKahuna - Full events of The Hobbit and more. This would have gone into the Mature section if the plot wasn’t so damn good. We have devoted Yavanna worshiper Bilbo, many headcanons and time changes, Bilbo is 50s and Frodo is 33 at the same time which surprised me but it’s turned out really good. For people who love +18 stuff, intense over the top extravagant plot, and BagginShield.

Time travel

A Shot in the Dark by Silver_pup - Full Plot + More, slow burn BagginShield, Sassy Bilbo. First one I read since getting back into my Hobbit hyperfixation and I adore it, most creative post-five-armies plot line ever.

An Expected Journey by MarieJacquelyn - Full Plot + More, mature scenes, major character death, BagginShield. An absolute roller coaster, I adore this one, but it is so good with the romance and MY HEART BROKE! Ending so well executed because I was genuinely brought to tears. AND BOFUR ARGH!!

Cute stuff

The Inevitable Love Story between Two Oblivious Idiots by bgtea - Exactly how it sounds, it’s incredible, there is BagginShield, DwalOri and Dis being the ultimate wingwoman, post BOTFA.

After the Dust Settles by bgtea - Post BOTFA, Bilbo unconscious and Thorin looking after him, it’s adorable and semi action packed, short fic.

Marriages of Erebor by Agent_Snark - Post BOTFA. This is a collection of four separate fics, all in the same universe/timeline, I’ll go through their names and ships.

Marriage of Convenience - Fili x Sigrid, my personal favourite.

The Wedding Night - Mature fic from No. 1

Marriage of Necessity - Thorin x Bilbo we love.

Marriage of Choice - Kili x Tauriel 🙌❤️

The Courting Habits of the Ereborian Dwarf by Lumeleo - Short fic, absolutely adorable, BagginShield, FilOri, KiliTauriel, mostly cultural difference headcanons and such.

C’est La Vie, C’est La Mort by Skatesfullofsunshine - FilOri, Post BOTFA, everyone lives, 1 Chapter. Ori lost his memory in the battle and returns to Erebor after being taken in by Dain 20 years later.

Modern

Broken, Not Shattered by Nyx_Nyghts - Still in Progress, Modern Middle Earth, BagginShield slow burn, young Fili and Kili, Sassy tutor Bilbo. ARGH!! This one is amazing, my favourite modern one so far. It started off slow so I will warn y’all, but it becomes incredibly interesting and as I was reading I genuinely felt sick with horror as something got revealed, like that’s how good it was written. Full recommend.

Mature

A Hard Knock by Yeaka - 1 Chapter. All I’ll say, is the barrel scene and no Bilbo that’s not Thorin’s sword.

Enbyofdionysus - Profile of this author who has roughly 46 different Hobbit/LOTR mature one shots so go ahead and take your pick of what you’re into, there is a lot.
