Whatever you do don't think about Dis sitting in Ered Luin waiting for a message or any kind of sign that her boys made it to Erebor
Nika, of Ered Luin
(i haven’t made a moodboard yet)
Overview: She just appeared in my mind, Nika doesn’t have the largest roll in my story, but she helps move the plot along. She came to Erebor from the Blue Mountains, but her family is originally from the Eastern Lands. She helps out on the Training grounds quite a bit, and helps Dwalin with training newbies. Her favorite weapon is an axe, but she’s not so much of a fighter as she is an athlete. She’s strong af, if not a bit scrawny (for a dwarf), has super long black curly hair, and is 4’7.
Backstory: Her grandfather brought his wife over from the Eastern Lands long before Erebor was corrupted, and started a family there and lived in luxury. Her grandfather and grandmother died in Smaugs attack, and her father was very young, too young to remember much about them. He traveled to the Blue Mountains along with the rest of the dwarves, and settled in a village 50 miles south of where Dis and Thorin resided. He found a spouse and started a family as well, and Nika was born. She spent her whole life in the Blue Mountains, until Erebor was reclaimed and she and her family went to move there. Dwalin quickly spotted her talent and appointed her to be a head trainer. During her first 2 years there, she and Clara grew very close…
Personality: ESTP-A. She’s very outgoing and fun to be around, however, she’s also not overbearing or too much. She knows how to take it down a notch and chill. Nika’s a hilarious person, and not in the awkward way that Adana is. She says things as they are, and sometimes comes off as a bit rude, but she’s really supportive and kind.
Fun Facts:
-She had to dance with Fili during Durin’s day once, back in the Blue Mountains, 20 years after Clara was kidnapped. They both hated it, but didn’t take it out on one another, instead discussing how stupid it was during the entire dance. They never saw each other again, until Nika moved to Erebor.
-Bi
-She’s trilingual
-She hates braiding her hair, not because she doesn’t like it, she’s just sloppy, and much prefers a bun.
-When she trains new recruits (the majority of them male), she constantly calls them “ladies”, and uses her femininity to her advantage.
-When she trains with older recruits (the majority of them male), she heckles them mercilessly if they mess up, but not in a super mean way. Just enough so that they work harder.
-She doesn’t like the academics. She does fine with them, but she’d rather be out and moving.
-Basically a jock.
Testing a new way of colouring my sketches with a lil Dis braiding her hair
Dis had been corresponding with Primula and Drogo for a while as they organised her picking up some of Bilbo's things to take to Erebor. When the Princess finally arrived in The Shire, Prim greeted her like an old friend (Drogo did too after he got over the initial shock of how tall she was)
Moon's drawing those same two gingers again 🤣
I had to! I had to complete the set
