Dis had been corresponding with Primula and Drogo for a while as they organised her picking up some of Bilbo's things to take to Erebor. When the Princess finally arrived in The Shire, Prim greeted her like an old friend (Drogo did too after he got over the initial shock of how tall she was)

I imagine that when Sam and Frodo end up having kids together, Sam is so excited and the two of them are working together to pick out the prefect names. On they're like 3rd kid they're having a baby boy (probably Frodo's via surrogate) and they've thought long and hard and know EXACTLY what to call him- until...
Frodo seems him and he looks like Drogo.
He's getting all teary eyed and trying to hide it. Then as neutrally as he can because he doesn't wanna ruin their plans, he asks to change the name. His voice totally gives away how much it would mean to him tho and they go home with baby Drogo
Later Sam's thinking about how he wanted to have a girl named Primrose but how it's a little awkward to have a kid named Rose and after moving on from and/or dumping Rosie. So he ends up asking to name their next daughter Primula
Thinking about how Frodo never mentions or thinks about his parents, not once, in the text, even though he was twelve when they died and old enough to remember them. Is it because it's too painful to remember them or because Tolkien didn't give them any thought (more likely)? They're not brought up when Sam almost drowns trying to catch up to Frodo, the same way Drogo and Primula drowned, or when Sam carelessly brings up the idea of hobbits drowning some time in the second book. The only time Frodo says their names is when he introduces himself as "Frodo, son of Drogo" in the patronymic tradition of naming used outside the Shire. Even then there's no mention of whether it hurts to be referred to as the son of his long-dead father, and Primula isn't brought up at all.
It really kills me how we will never truly know the events surrounding the boating accident where Primula and Drogo Baggins died...
What went wrong when they were out there on the water? Was it something they could have avoided but they took the risk, or was it all just too sudden? What were their final moments spent thinking? Primula was from Buckland, but did Drogo even know how to swim? Did they try to save each other?
Did those in Brandy Hall worry when they were gone for too long? Who was the one to, in horror, discover their boat overturned? How did the mood of the day change as soon as everyone realized they were to put beloved friends and family to rest that night? Did Frodo-lad plea and cry asking where his parents were? Who was there to console the boy? Who was there to explain to him that his mom and dad won't be coming back?
Primula and Drogo never knew they would die that day... what did they hope for the future? What did they hope for their boy?
Amaranth Brandybuck and Mirabella (Took) Brandybuck 💚

Anyway Amaranth is the older sister of Primula Brandybuck (Frodos mum) and Mirabella is their mother and the youngest sister of Belladonna Took (Bilbos mum)
37 and 81 years old respectively (at the time of The Hobbit.

Yes this is again for that unreleased fic of mine, I’m getting there I promise 😔 so most of this is canon in my fic not the og(aside from the facts above)
Anyway, Amaranth is Mirabella’s oldest daughter and second oldest out of seven, she’s cheeky and more of a move-in-the-shadows kind of trickster.
She also has a massive crush on Dora Baggins but is too busy keeping her little sister away from Drogo.
She also has a primula flower and a bunch of amaranths in her hair, whereas Mirabella has a bouquet/crown of flowers and plants in her hair as a monarch.
The Tooks also mostly all share the marking which was inspired by Rabbits/Rabbit Syndrome (which I know is a real thing so no disrespect or misinterpretation to those with it) they have freckles and longer ears to especially resemble a rabbit.
On to Mirabella who is the youngest daughter and second youngest child of Geronitis Took.
And yes, you’re probably wondering why the hell she looks like a peg leg pirate with her tail chomped off. I do have an excellent explanation.
And it is involving a headcanon for my story which I will most likely write a oneshot for but I will give you the run-down.
And it all begins with that Fell Winter.
The infamous Fell Winter where Bungo Baggins became deadly ill. Frostbite, starvation, it was horrible and Belladonna couldn’t let their son Bilbo have to watch his father die.
So with three of her siblings, Hildigrim, Isengar, and Mirabella. They set out in the horrible weather with hopes to find medicine, a doctor, help, anything.
They search and search through Hobbiton, the Shire. Next, they head for Bree.
But their luck ran short, and the Wolves prowling through their land, maws still bloody from killing their livestock, set their predatory gaze to them.
Hildigrim, their big brother, had tried to draw the beasts away and eventually retreated with a branch to defend them with.
Belladonna joined him with a branch of her own as Mirabella protected their little brother Isengar.
It was a day Mirabella and her brothers would never forget, especially when they watched one of the Wolves snap one of Belladonna’s hands in its jaws and yank her into the fray.
She leaped after her sister in terror and desperation. And from that she defended her mangled corpse until she’d lost a leg and half her tail to those creatures.
By then their father had found them with some cousins and siblings and beat the monsters away with anything they could.
Mirabella, Hildigrim and Isengar survived that Winter thanks to their sister.
Anyway, thanks for reading that if you did, I might expand on it at a later date, but anyway.
