Dil is seen as weird by almost everyone around him. He is almost never shown as having friends outside of his brother because people outside of his family don’t really get him. He has admitted to being afraid of losing that connection with his brother because no one else understands him.

He’s a lateral thinker, and goes through experimental phases including only speaking backwards, and only speaking in his own language - ‘Dilkenese’. His fascination with aliens and the supernatural could arguably be a special interest. The head teacher held a meeting with his parents, asking to observe his behaviour due to him being so different to his peers.

so i watched the rugrats movie with nana and explaining it all to her and for a good hour we say here arguing over whether they're all siblings and if i had a cynthia doll as a kid but the fucking best part was as the ending was playing, nana just looked down and softly said to herself '...his names dylan.'
