We welcome submissions from any genre except what is in our banned media, we allow characters who are good, bad or morally gray.

Banned media: Community or fan driven/written etc media. AI characters.

Martin is the dad from a show about a British Jewish family sitting down for their Friday Night Dinner. Martin is shown multiple times to never throw things away and to hyperfixate on various things.

He carries around a calculator at all times, calculates the predicted date of death of people he knows, has never thrown away a magazine, he often doesn't pick up on jokes/scarcasm and never understands why other people don't think the same way he does.

He always takes his shirt off because its too hot (even when its cold, perhaps he's overstimulated). In one episode he fixates on a bag caught in a tree and even does his back in from trying to get it down. He then drags himself out of his house and back to the tree regardless of the fact he cannot walk. He then spends a few hundered pounds to hire someone to take the bag down.

In another episode he keeps a dead fox in his freezer because he wants to have it taxidermied, for which he doesn't understand his sons complaints. He used to talk to people using a ventrolist doll.

She has very black and white thinking about her moral code(always honor family), leaving no room for nuance to the point where it’s a detriment to herself. And when others don’t follow her moral code, she’s unable to grasp why or be flexible.

She’s quite gullible and tends to take things at face value, often not picking up on body language that would say otherwise. Because of all that, her kindness and trust is repeatedly taken advantage of without her fully realizing(and when she does realize, she struggles to be certain about what she thinks she might be picking up on, even when it’s obvious from an outside perspective).

She’s earnestly said the wrong thing without realizing it wouldn’t be taken as a compliment. And she’s one of maybe two or three characters in the whole show to understand and not be weirded out by the autistic coded traits of another character, Gob Bluth.

He just wants to be left alone peacefully in his home, but the world keeps *intruding* and trying to make him interact with it. They seem to think there's something wrong with him that he just wants to be left alone. Why can't they see that he's perfectly happy here and it's *them* trying to talk to him that's the problem?!

Okay it's definitely headcanon, something I feel whenever I'm in a particularly homebody mood and the song pops into my head; and the song itself implies that it's more like paranoid-delusion than autism, but hey it was the early 80s, not too much time had passed since autism was diagnostically considered a type of schizophrenia, and maybe people *drove* him to paranoia by insisting he interact so much!

But I looked it up and feel justified by the songwriter's story that it WAS simply inspired by him feeling anxious about having to interact with people and just wanting to be left alone in peace, and the rest is just the hyperbolic buildup from that emotion.

Going off of textual evidence, Kirk is remarkably different from everyone else in stars hollow, which is saying a lot considering I don't believe there are very many neurotypical characters in the show.

Kirk has his routines (ex. he is the first person to Luke's every day, being very structured about his first date with Lulu, etc) and seems out of his comfort zone when those routines are messed with.

He tends to have a very flat affect and his communication style is very direct with evidence of him regularly missing social cues (ex. missing Lorelai's sarcasm when asking him about real Kirk vs cat Kirk).

Juurou is implied to have got his "personality" from his father. He's quiet and relies on his trusted person to help look after him — while he can make do on his own, it's clear he needs support. Juurou deals with every conversation through scripting, particularly taking from literal movie scripts to be able to handle situations and he only semi-breaks from his scripts for his trusted person.

He struggles with reading social situations and will give inappropriate responses to his friends' problems. He's got rigid rules he follows about society that he and everyone else needs to follow. He is extremely stressed from trying to fit in with others; being forced to constantly face the public, live a happy heterosexual life, not being able to talk how he feels most comfortable, behave how he feels comfortable, etc. Leads to him having a mental breakdown where he lashes out at everyone around him indiscriminately.
