i want to like miguel winning so badly, but i can’t. they bullshat robby out of a natural win so i can’t. the scene of robby in ep 13 felt like such an obvious parallel to s1 ep 10, only this time it would make sense for robby to win, bc he’s already learned his lesson and reflected on second place… right? wrong. why tf did they make hawk win that all valley tournament. i’m just relieved that robby was miguel’s main motivation for the tournament this time around and not stanford (which he didn’t even need the tournament to get accepted)

i also want to like johnny taking back cobra kai, but the whole show was trying to sell a message that cobra kai at the end of the day is a toxic dojo with toxic roots and toxic teachings, so i can’t. cobra kai coming back just for the tournament, before ultimately being put to rest along with kreese and silver would have been better imo. miyagi do incorporating attributes of cobra kai (which it literally did) would have been more satisfying to me. johnny focusing on offense, daniel defense. maybe they would even have separate dojos, but it wouldn’t be cobra kai. eagle fang is kind of a dumb name, but i would take it over cobra kai, bc at the end of the day johnny’s cobra kai is eagle fang. the true “strike first, strike hard, no mercy” is kreese and silver’s cobra kai, the true cobra kai.

but honestly, the biggest issue is that the last episode was rushed af
