He's gotta be warm and dead before we'll come and get him.... Anyway, eventually he got warm enough and dead enough to actually be dead, so they came and got him.

There is no better fictional friendship than between Tobias Beecher, a wealthy white bisexual and Kareem Said, a black devout Muslim from HBO’s Oz. You can’t change my mind on this

In spite of all the hate, tension, violence and racial prejudice in Oz, these two found each other by reaching out at their lowest. Their first proper interaction being when Kareem tries to talk to Beecher when he starts drinking again due to being manipulated by Keller and Schillinger. Beecher reaches out and comforts Kareem after he is abandoned by his Muslims because, among other things, he allowed Beecher to sit in on one of the Muslims study groups. And it just grows from there. By the end they are like brothers. The moments between these two are some of my favourites in Oz.
