These Easy Halloween Cookies are ideal for a spooky treat. The brightly colored and festive cookies will be a hit at any Halloween party or gathering.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. Assorted food coloring gel. Halloween-themed sprinkles.
Instructions: Put the softened butter and sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in well. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a smooth dough forms. Separate the dough into several pieces. Add a different color of food coloring gel to each piece and knead until the color is spread out evenly. Each color of dough should be wrapped in plastic wrap and put in the fridge for at least an hour. Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. To make each color of dough about 1/4 inch thick, roll it out on a lightly floured surface. Cut out cookies from the rolled dough using cookie cutters with Halloween designs. Leave some space between each cookie when you put them on the baking sheets that have been prepared. Add Halloween-themed sprinkles to the cookies to make them look nice. For 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden, bake the cookies. Take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets. Then, move them to wire racks to cool all the way down. Have fun with your cute Halloween cookies after they're cool.
