SCRIPTURE:

Be careful, my child, of anything beyond them!  There’s no end to the excessive production of scrolls.  Studying too much wearies the body. So this is the end of the matter; all has been heard.  Worship God and keep God’s commandments because this is what everyone must do.  ~ Ecclesiastes 12:12-13

OBSERVATION:

Too much study - relying on the thoughts and writings of men - wearies the body...

...instead of the leading of the Holy Spirit...

...as informed by the Word...

I must confess here that sometimes I worry that I try to dig too deeply, find "hidden meanings" or make strained connections between things here some mornings...

...when it's really pretty simple most - all? - of the time...

Worship God

Keep His commandments

It's what everyone - which, duh, includes me after all - must do...

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father God - may Your Holy Spirit remind me to quit trying so hard and rely on His leading and revelation on the simplicity of worshiping You and keeping Your commandments - in the ways Jesus did - In His Name and for Your glory and praise and coming Kingdom...

From Him, through Him, for Him...
