In conclusion, Blacksun and Rosegarden are both adorable ships of complete dorks who care for each other yet still understand the importance of the bigger picture

I really think its fitting that the word Blake ultimately finds Sun to be the personification of the word “love”, not solely because he’s her love interest, but because I feel the quote that best defines him is when he says “Psssh....that’s dumb. You should always get friends involved.” His entire motivation in following Blake was so she wouldn’t be alone. He felt Blake abandoning her team was the wrong thing to do, and once she was reunited with them, he felt his job in that respect was done (not that his sole purpose is to be a stand in for her teammates like some certain rabid stans like to claim, there’s obviously far more to it than that), yet Blake finds herself reluctant to let him go. He shouldered all of her initial anger and frustration and stuck by her, telling her the hard truths she needed to hear, risked his life to protect her and her family, came to forgive her best friend who nearly took his life, and inspired Blake herself to try to reach through to Ilia ultimately salvaging that friendship. And he doesn’t pressure her into a relationship or take advantage of her when she’s in a vulnerable mental and emotional state, he leaves the door open for her to walk through when she’s ready. I don’t see all that being built up steadily over 6 volumes for nothing.
