can confirm: his eyes do, in fact, turn blue in canon when he uses his ice powers. It's mainly displayed in Urban Jungle when he goes against Undergrowth in the final fight. Most instances after this his eyes do not turn blue; inference can be made that they turn blue only when he uses this power excessively. Or the writers were lazy and continuity went out the window
