☆ Fizzy Infatuation — Edd x GN Reader HCs ☆

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Once Edd finds out your favorite drink, he buys it all the time. Though you do have to remind him that not everyone feels the same way about favorites that he does his Cola, he likes to keep a steady supply of your preferred snacks

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Absolutely the kind of guy to suggest you watch a scary movie to try and be all suave and then he ends up being more scared than you are

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Though Edd usually likes to be a peacekeeper among his friends, he isn't afraid to stand up for you if you're feeling upset or need him to help

ᯓᡣ𐭩 His favorite way to nap is either with his head in your lap or on your chest. He snuggles in close and wraps around you as much as he can for warmth, and he sleeps very heavy so good luck getting up-

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Loves to try and crack jokes with you to cheer you up whenever you're feeling down, but if you ever just need a sympathetic ear, he'll let you sit on his bed and vent to your heart's content

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Finds it extremely adorable whenever you and Ringo are getting along, he has a bunch of pictures and videos on his phone of you and her playing or lounging around with each other

ᯓᡣ𐭩 A very frequent texter, sends you tons of messages of just whatever he's thinking or asking about you and your day. Also so many silly videos and images. He's the type to associate everything with you and send you images of two objects next to each other to be like "this is just like us!"

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Usually due to the wacky adventures he has there's a chance that whatever he's got for you is going to end up broken or destroyed. Hence he now always gets you several gifts at once to make sure you still get little treats and trinkets at the end of it all

Do any of the boys know how to cook or is Tom the only one with some kind of culinary knowledge

Tom is like the only one in the house who can bake anything, well, anything gourmet or from scratch, Edd can grab box brownies and make them easy peasy. Tord, however, has a runny rivalry with anything pastry; it's very frustration, since he can do easily cook but can't for the life of him figure out how dough works (and he's to impatient for it, from my experience cooking is more fast paced and baking is a lot of waiting, though there are of course exceptions)

Tom's pretty mediocre at cooking, like he knows how to make simple things like pasta, cereal, eggs, sandwiches, etc., but full course meals are not his forte, he's the baker of the group as i previously went off about in my other reply

Like I mentioned earlier, Tord is kinda renowned as the house's resident cook (but secretly, because if they told him he'd get a worse ego and he'd need a bigger house to fit it in), but his expertise in cooking come from a long line of years left home alone and made to fend for himself with a side of ADHD and perfectionism

Edd's got good skill, too, he's very resourceful, often it'll be either him or Tord working in the kitchen for meals, sometimes both if they can manage to not fight over "who's in charge" and not step on each other's feet,,, too many cooks in the kitchen as some say. Though both of them working together is usually reserved for when they can swallow their prides, i.e. special occasions like birthdays, holidays, or generally big events

Matt,,, he tried so hard, and the boys tried so hard to teach him. Cooking, baking, anything, but it's like throwing darts at a brick wall. He knows how to follow instructions and use the microwave and that's all he needs, especially when he has great chefs and bakers living with him and he can easily use flattery to get (most of them) to do as he pleases, meal wise anyway

How about eddworld main boys having a reader roommates with power/curse like Kenny from South Park?

Pretty much dying every single day in strange ways from a surprise stabbing to a dinosaur coming out of a portal and eating them, but always they find the reader eating cereal the next morning.

Even stranger is that the reader has no idea why they have that power/curse but not really questioning it.

Didn't know if its platonic or romantic so went neutral

Reader is gender neutral

Assuming that the guys remember your death every time unlike in the show

They don't really bring it up at first

They just assume it was a dream or something

Until Matt says to you, “you died in my dream by the grim reaper dragging you to the underworld like it was yesterday?” with the guys around

And they’re all “hey i had that dream yesterday”

Tom was the first to notice it was pretty unusual but they all brushed it off as coincidental

Until one day, lets say only one of them was at home and they saw you die

So each boy now has a separate experience of you dying

So Edd brings it up first actually

He doesn't like to beat around the bush

Also after the amount of times hes seen you die he just wants to know

So when you say that you don't know why

Hes just,, he accepts it honestly

I mean, whats a life without mystery and plus, he cant really do anything

He also finds it pretty cool

But he really Doesnt like it

He can get a bit scared actually so he gets protective with ya

What if one day you die and don't come back?

Next one would be Tord

At first hes like amazed

“Thats like one anime i saw”

“I thought you watched hentai only?”

“Hentai has plot too”

Anyways yes, hes amazed and he wants to know more about it

But hes sorta disappointed when you don't know why

Which is why he will find out why

But slowly, he realizes its a pretty bad life, Traumatic even

So his want to know why turns into a need to help ya

Next would be Tom,

Dude may seem like hes all chill but this dude can feel emotions intensely

So when he senses edd and tord feeling off

He connects it with the “dreams” he has too

And mainly, this guy can be into the pessimistic side often

So he will take this thing as something really bad for ya

He stays by your side most of the time when that happens

He even asks you to come and listen to him play susan because he hopes youd be safe in his room

Matt would be the last,

Hes pretty vocal about it so he goes to the other guys and goes “Guys!! I found out Y/N is immortal!”

He thinks its pretty cool actually

Imagine how much you can experience with a sorta immortal life

So hes more on the positive things about your situation and how you can make the most of it

He does acknowledge that it can be a curse though

Depending on if you like it or not or just don't care,

Edd & Tom would still be sorta protective, Tord would be desperately finding some way to stop this, and Matt is pretty worried

I mean if you don't want them to treat you differently because of it

It would be hard for them all (except for Matt, sorta)

Edd would do some immortal jokes if youre fine with it

“Hey Y/N, guess what immortal british people drink, infiniTEA”

or conversations that go “Wheres y/n?”

“The government took them”

“Ah, the usual then”

Overall,, its kinda heavy for the first few times but when everyone is sorta used to it, its a usual thing now and much lighter now too

Because I am in pain: how would each of the guys handle a period cramp simulator? Who longer out of all of them

(You don’t have to answer this if it makes you uncomfortable, the image just popped in my brain and I found it funny lol)

I don't mind at all :) I'm very pro normalize talking about "uncomfy" topics cause, well, everything in life in uncomfy, and people are always welcome to scroll/ignore/block

But I'd like to think this is some youtube thing, like those videos you'll see of people offering the cramp simulator to random men to see how far they'll go only to not be able to go past 5, or at best 8

Fun fact about that by the way ! The female body is made with a higher pain tolerance than male bodies due to child birth, their bodies are literally programmed to forget the pain within a few months - doesn't mean it won't have lasting consequences, but AFAB people tend to have a higher pain tolerance because of this, which is why a lot of people with testosterone injections will start to see a decrease in their pain tolerance the longer they're on T

With that being said, Tord would totally go into it with "light weight, no reaction" mindset thinking he's been through this before, he's trans FtM in my headcanons so he totally would be like "I've felt the universe punish me for every sin I've commited, time to school these suckers" only to be FLOORED at the fact that somehow, it can feel worse - he's been on T for two years at the time the boys decided to do the silly youtube video about it

Edd goes in with a similar mentality, but more of "I'm a feminist so I wanna stick it out for the ladies" and has to stop at around five, which is a little less than Tord's six but in all honesty Tord would much sooner chew off his own leg before admitting he's bad at something and isn't against wasting his own body in order to "proove" something so that's not really saying much

Matt's really dramatic about it but he gets to level six as well, and is in a better boat that Tord who's probably having PTSD about the fact the universe punished him for months on end before he found out Testosterone lessens the pain of period cramps, but Matt definitely makes Tord feel like he's done better despite them being at the same level cause Matt was literally crying after level 5, the first wave of seven he had to tap out, claiming six with Tord

so at least Tord has that going for him

Tom, however, truly is built different and managed all the way up to level eight before he had to tap out, because he quite literally is thick skinned - out of all the boys of the group he's got the highest pain tolerance of them all, even Tord apparently lol even though their wins for their little "contests" that do for little inconvenience are pretty evenly matched

At least it's not me being harassed by my friends 😭 but thank you for the normal ask (I love my friends they're clinically insane)

Tord and Tom are the most aggressive of the group you'd think would be the most likely to throw punches in fear, and Tord is but Tom is more of a flight/freeze kind of guy

The ones you have to look at for would be Edd and Tord mostly, Tord doesn't know many emotions that don't deal with some aggressive form (like he doesn't really get sad, he just gets really angry and frustrated cause he can't process his emotions) so he's more likely to fight

And Edd's just built different, if it's like a jumpscare he's swinging at it but if it's like a genuine fear of his he tends to just bottle it up and go "nah this is fine" and have a cool exterior

Matt's mostly flighty too, usually to one of his friends to deal with it instead, he's a very big "power in number except your the numbers and I'm your damsel please kill it for me" believer
