Comfort (Villains)
Fandom: Gotham
Character: Ed
Ed hated to see you upset and would do anything to make you feel better. So when he walked into your apartment and saw you crying he immediately set out to comfort you and bring your spirits up. He knew you liked to be warm and cozy so he made some tea and got a blanket, draping it around you both. As you sipped your tea he would sit with you, telling you funny riddles to try and bring a smile to your face and make you feel alright again.
Character: Oswald
Oswald was a selfish man. He knew this and he normally didn’t care if someone else was hurt or upset. But you, you were different. He cared a great deal about you so whenever you were wronged or saddened he would move heaven and earth to bring you comfort. He would kill whoever hurt you and bring you proof so you knew you would never be harmed by them again. Then he would make sure your favorite foods were delivered and get you settled into bed to rest after your meal, knowing you would wake up refreshed and feeling much better then the night before.
Character: Barbara
Barbara knew the best way to comfort you was to take your mind off of whatever upset you in the first place. And the best way she knew how to do that was with sex. If that didn’t work well you two could go out on the town, to a club, pick up some random man and then tear him apart just for the fun of it. And if that still didn’t work, well ice cream and Netflix was a surefire bet and the two of you would end up cuddled on the couch for the night until you couldn’t remember what upset you in the first place.

Oswald Cobblepot:
You and Oswald’s little girl, Scarlett, was about three years old. She was spoiled rotten, but unlike most spoiled children, Scarlett was an angel! She was most definitely a daddy's girl. She was Gotham’s sweetheart being the Mayor’s daughter. She had Oswald’s sparkling eyes and your nose but his jet black hair. Now as any three years, Scarlett did have a very mischievous side to her. She had a thing for getting into sticky yet cute situations. Currently Oswald was pacing about the living room as you sat on the couch watching television. Little Scarlett curled into your side.
“What are you pacing for Ozzy?” You sighed in annoyance.
“This whole Mayor Business is overrated.” He complained as he stopped to look as you. Scarlett moved off your lap as she walked over to her father. She sat on the floor in front of him. Watching his feet move. Her dark brows furrowing at his weird walk. She slowly rose to her feet as Oswald walked into the kitchen with you in tow. What you two didn’t see was Scarlett limping behind her father. Her small frame not being seen as her raven curls bounced in her pigtails. Something shiny caught her eye as her eyes landed on Oswald’s jacket. She looked to Oswald, then the jacket as she ran over to it. She slipped it on with a giggle as she limped back over to the kitchen. Your eyes landed on her as you stifled a giggle.
“What?!” Oswald spun to see Scarlett limping into the room, the coat draped as it slid on the ground. His face softened as he took her in. Oswald was a whole other guy around you and Scarlett. He grinned as she spoke up.
“I’m walking just like daddy! Watch!” She proceeded to limp around the kitchen as you giggled.
“No Ed that isn’t right! I said do this! Not that!” She said in a deep voice as she sternly pointed a finger at no one. Oswald couldn’t help the laugh that made its way out.
“You’re a better Oswald than your dad.” Oswald stated as he picked up the miniature Mayor.
“You’re lucky you’re the cutest Mayor too.” He said as he kissed her forehead as she giggled.
Ed Nygma:
You and Ed had a four year old son, Edward Nygma Junior. He was a mischievous little guy with a knack for getting into trouble, however he picked up his intelligence from his father. He could pass as the miniature version of Ed Nygma. They even had the same glasses. Ed Jr wanted to be like his father to a ‘T’. But don’t let that fool you, he was a momma’s boy at heart. Today Ed had taken the day off, making sure you were working so he could take Eddie out for the day. You had finally gotten home and you quietly opened the door, hearing both Ed’s whisper to each other.
“Remember what to do little guy?” “Yes. I give mommy the flowers and hit her with a good riddle. Right?” “Spot on my boy.” “Boys?! I’m home!” You said as you walked in. Little Ed ran up to you with a flower in his hand.
“Daddy took me to the park today I picked this for you mommy! A-and I have a riddle for you!” He turned to look at his dad who gave him a thumbs up. Little Ed swallowed hard, not wanting to mess up the riddle. “C’mere. Okay...I-It’s made with sugar….You can eat it….it-it tastes very sweet...What is it?” He said as your brows furrowed in fake confusion.
“Hm...I don’t think I know that one baby.” Ed ran to the kitchen table as you followed him with a large smile.
“A cake! Me and daddy baked it today!” He giggled as he pointed to the cake. The light green icing placed sloppily on the top. Arms wrapped around your waist as a kiss was pressed to your head.
“Hello Eddie.” You sighed as you kissed him.
“Hello princess. How was your day?” “Good...tiring.” You said truthfully. He nodded. You felt arms wrap around your legs as you saw Little Eddie bury his head in your side. You were thankful for your little family. Even the little one on the way as Ed rested his large hands on the swollen four month bump.
Jim Gordon:
Charlotte Lynn Gordon was the princess of Gotham. A very sweet little three year old with a heart of pure gold. She was a very polite little girl for being three. Jim was very protective of his little girl, but she had Jim wrapped around her little fingers. Charlotte was little, having been born a tad bit early than expected. You walked into the GCPD with Charlotte attached to your hip. Bullock stood, Charlotte’s godfather.
“Well if it isn’t my favorite Gordon!” “Hello Mister Bullock.” Charlotte smiled shyly. Bullock shook his head. “You’re too polite for Gotham City little Gordon.”
“(Y/n)!” You turned to see Jim walking to you. “What are you doing here?”
“Daddy!” Charlotte giggled as she reached for him. “Mister Bullock said you had the rest of the day off!” Charlotte gave Jim an award winning smile. Her blue eyes she inherited from Jim. Jim sighed with a smile. He knew he couldn’t tell his little girl no even if he had to. She was just so polite!
“Alright princess. Let’s go home.” He said as she covered her ears.
“I’ss so loud in here!” She whined as she buried her head in Jim’s neck. Jim placed his coat around her small body to avoid the incoming criminals that they had just brought in from seeing her. Once the three of you got into the parking lot, he took the jacket off of her.
“All the bad guys gone daddy?”
“All gone baby.” He smiled as he buckled her in. She grinned up as you kissed her cheek. Jim smiled at his two girls with nothing but love in his blue eyes.
“Daddy! Guess what?!”
“What?”
“I love you!” She said as Jim kissed your cheek. “I love you too Charlotte. I love you (Y/n).”
“I love you too Jim.”
“Now who wants ice cream?”
“Yes please!” Charlotte grinned as she grinned. Her brown hair bobbing in it’s small thin fountain. You smiled as Jim snaked his hand into yours. Lifting it and pressing a kiss to your knuckles. He turned the car on and drove to the small diner a block from your apartment.
Jerome Valeska:
The only person crazier than Jerome was his son, six year Finneus. He was the literal carbon copy of his father. You couldn’t complain...they were both your sweethearts. Finneus adopted his father’s psychotic behavior. You could keep up I mean...you were the crazy clown family of Gotham. Jerome would often bring his son on small jobs, like robberies. You drew the line at actually letting Finneus see Jerome killing. But you digress.
“Momma! Look what dad got me today!” Finneus held up the butterfly knife as Jerome laughed maniacally.
“Ask your mother to teach you! She’s a pro!” Jerome said as he came into view. His shirt stained with blood as you groaned.
“You do the laundry this time!” You raised a brow as you carefully took the knife from your struggling son.
“You’re not doing it right honey...like this!” You expertly worked the knife causing your son to go slack jawed.
“Do it again!”
“What do we say?”
“Please.” He begged with big eyes. You did it again and your son let out an innocent giggle. Though you knew this family was far from it.
“Say do you think our new baby will be more into guns, or knives?”
“Oh we’re having another one are we?” You raised a brow. Carrying Finneus was difficult as you had been bedridden half the pregnancy.
“Junior, do you want a brother or sister?!”
“YES! I can teach them how to burn ants with a magnifying glass a-and I can teach them the best places to steal from!” Finneus giggles as you smiled. Jerome glided over to you, licking his lips as your finger traced his scars from the staples. You shook your head.
“Okay...let’s have another one.” You whispered. Nine months later and you gave birth to little Persephone, and your murderous family was complete.
Jervis Tetch:
You and Jervis had a little girl, Aura Jane Tetch. She was five and very small for her age. She was adorable and knew how to use it to her advantage. She was a daddy’s girl, she inherited his big brown eyes and nose and curly wild hair. Currently you were picking up some of her toys as her and Jervis did their nightly reading session. You can almost guess what he was reading to her.
“Who are you?” said the Caterpillar.
This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, “I—I hardly know, Sir, just at present—at least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have changed several times since then.”
“What do you mean by that?” said the Caterpillar, sternly. “Explain yourself!” Jervis read animatedly, eliciting a giggle from the five year old. You bit your lip as you watched through the crack in the door as your little girl stared up at her dad. She watched him speak, hanging onto every word with innocent eyes.
“Dad?”
“Yes, my little flower?” “Can we read this every night from now on?” She whispered tiredly as she yawned. Her eyes closed as Jervis looked at you with a grin through the crack in the door. He kissed Aura’s forehead.
“Of course we can my little flower. Are you tired?”
“No…’f course not dad.” She whispered as she pointed to the page. “Keep….keep reading…” She yawned. Jervis shook his head.
“Star light, star bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might…” “Have the wish I wish tonight.” Aura finished tiredly as Jervis tucked her into bed.
“My darling.” Jervis said as he exited her room. “Let’s have another starling.” He grinned.
Alfred Pennyworth:
You and Alfred were delighted with a little boy, Cedric Arlo Pennyworth. He was a true gentlemen at the age of six. He had excellent manners and despite the obvious age difference, got along great with ‘Master Bruce.’. You were beyond thankful that he has grown the way he has. He looked like his father and even gained the British accent. Currently you were gathering food for dinner till you saw little Cedric run into the kitchen with Bruce.
“Hide us mum!” He whisper shouted as he ran to the small cupboard as Bruce went into the taller one adjacent from where Cedric hid. You stifled a giggle. Suddenly you heard footsteps.
“Hello love.” Alfred said as he kissed your cheek.
“Hello Alfie.” You smiled as you continued to chop up the potatoes.
“Would you happen to know where Cedric and Master Bruce are?”
“No. Not a clue. Why? Are you looking for them?” You smiled as you paused your cutting for a few seconds. Avoiding contact with Alfred, knowing he’d see straight through your lie. Alfred went to call you out but heard a small clatter from the cupboard that Cedric was in. Alfred playfully glared from you and pushed himself from the counter. He carefully walked over and whipped open the doors as Cedric laughed gleefully.
“Found you little mister!” Alfred said as Cedric crawled from the cupboard. Alfred picked him up and set him on the counter.
“Now...I’m going to ask nicely….where is Master Bruce….”
“I’ll never tell! Never!”
“Not even for ice cream after supper?” “...” Cedric pointed a small finger over to the cupboard where Bruce hid. You giggled as Alfred high fived his son.
“I know you, my best friend Cedric, just did not sell me out for ice cream.” Bruce faked a look of betrayal as you shook your head.
“I’ sorry mister Bruce! But ice cream is ice cream.” Cedric sighed as he hopped off the counter as you leaned down to peck your Cedric’s cheek. He playfully wiped it off as Alfred placed one on you and Cedric cheeks.
Harvey Bullock:
You and Harvey were the proud parents of a little four year old girl named Ella Grace Bullock. She had your eyes but the rest was all Harvey. She was quite quiet for being Harvey’s kid around new people. But she was a very kind little girl. She had quite the imagination. Currently Jim Gordon was over, who you could tell she had a small crush on.
“Hello Mister Jim! Hi dad!” She greeted as you came in from picking her up. She ran into her fathers arms as he scooped her up. Sitting in his chair as he set his drink down.
“Hello little Ella!” Jim smiled at the innocent child.
“Hello my beautiful sunshine.” Harvey smiled as he hugged the little girl.
“Today we colored!” She said as she ran to you. You handed her the picture and perched herself back on her dad’s lap.
“Look! That’s you putting the bad guys away with Mister Jim!” She said as she then pointed to two stick figures, one with a hat and the other with brown hair.
“And there is me and mommy watching you make Gotham safer! See we have ice cream!” She gushed at her artwork with a smile.
“My little girl is an artist!” See that Jim!” Harvey smiled proudly as he leaned up to kiss your cheek. Slyly giving your butt a little swat. You gasped as he chuckled.
“That’s a pretty drawing there Ella Grace.” Jim smiled. Ella blushed as you giggled.
“T-Thank you Mister Jim.” Harvey picked up on his daughter’s innocent crush. He kissed his daughter’s cheek as he set her on the ground.
“Daddy?” “Yes ladybug?” “Can Jim stay for dinner? And color with me!?” “That’s a question for the man himself.” He said as Jim nodded. She squealed as she raced to get her coloring book and crayons. Harvey walked over to you.
“You pic on that too sweetie?” He asked as he acknowledged the child’s crush.
“You bet.” You smiled as you leaned up to kiss his lips. He sighed.
“It’s only going to get worse isn’t it honey?”
“Oh...you bet.” You smiled as he groaned.
Preference: Dating
Fandom: Gotham
Character: Ed
Edward Nygma is a man of fine cuisine. Which is why he would never take you to a restaurant for a date. His idea of a great date is bringing you back to his place, cooking you up a fine meal and having you compliment everything several times (he’s a bit of a diva who needs validation) and then afterwards going out to see an obscure museum exhibition or art show. He tries to impress you with his knowledge and throwing in riddles here and there to test your knowledge. You prove to him over and over that you are his intellectual equal and he loves you for that.
Character: Oswald
Oswald likes to show off to you that he is rich. It’s the only reason he thinks you even like him at all although you have told him several times that that is not true. The two of you normally start an evening with a nice dinner in an upscale restaurant, lobster, steak, and caviar with the nicest wine in the house, followed by a show or opera in a balcony, and then you finish the night back at the house with dessert. He is all about showing off when he gives gifts to you also. You would wake up some mornings to find a pair of earrings or a necklace on the nightstand by the bed, maybe a new suit or dress for an evening out, always the finest clothiers and designers. He is a generous lover and you enjoy it almost as much as you enjoy him being himself in the small hours of the morning when he wakes up from a nightmare and holds you closer, kissing you gently on the head and murmuring that he loves you, letting down a wall he normally has up for everyone.
Barbara is a fun girl, always coming up with adventure date to take you on. Sometimes you guys go out and find a couple guys to tease, seducing them before going back to each other and leaving them hanging. Sometimes they like to try and get you two anyways but, well, that never works out well with them and seeing your girlfriend break a man’s leg in three places is such a turn on that it sometimes leads to the two of you skipping the rest of the date just to have sex in the back alley behind the bar. When your dates are homebound she comes up with scavenger hunts for toys around the apartment and the two of you have fun finding and playing together.
Jerome Valeska is the most spontaneous person you’ve ever met and it makes your date nights so exciting. Sometimes the date starts in the early morning, him waking you up to go see the sunrise and rob a coffee shop of both food and scones before spending the day just wandering Gotham and looking for trouble to cause. Other times the date started at 10pm with him waking you up to go out and find a penthouse apartment, killing whoever was inside and commandeering it for the night to play out your fantasies of getting married and having a lavish honeymoon, which he promises over and over to give you one day. When you’re just at home he will surprise you with dinner or breakfast, maybe even a ring he stole from someone’s finger or something else he got from a job, always trying to make you smile.
Preference: Reader is Robbed and Gives Chase (Villains)
Fandom: Gotham
Character: Oswald
Oswald was in no mood for this. He hated when things didn’t go according to plan and you getting robbed and actually chasing the bastard was NOT part of the plan! You were supposed to be robbed and then Oswald would later find the guy and impress you by getting your stuff back but no, you had to run after him and put the guy in the hospital all to get your bag back! You had no idea why Oswald was so annoyed until he spilled the story and you laughed. He was so sweet sometimes.
Character: Victor
You running after your assailant was a turn on for Victor. He followed, chasing with you and as the man was stopped in an alley and holding his arms up Victor nodded for you to get your things. You stepped forward and took your stuff back, moving beside Victor again. He then smirked, pulled out his gun and shot the man in the head. Like hell was it ok to lay a hand on his person.
Character: Jerome
Jerome loved a good show and being with you was an Oscar worthy amount of amazing 24/7. So he wasn’t surprised that the man who robbed you only made it a few blocks before you caught him. You had run off like a madman and Jerome had just followed behind leisurely. When he arrived you were punching the guy in the face, your bag by him laying forgotten. Jerome offered you his knife but you shook your head. You liked doing things with your bare hands. And he loved to watch you do it.
Character: Ed
You had been having a nice dinner with Ed, eating at an outdoor cafe when someone walked by, swiping your bag. You stood and looked around before running after him. Ed was shocked by your rashness but inner Ed, the Ed he dreaded, loved your spontaneity. He followed you two, enjoying the chase. You were fighting with the guy now for your bag so Ed helped, getting behind him and holding the knife he always carried to his throat. “Give it back,” he said. The guy handed you the bag. “Take a step back dear, this is going to be messy.” You did as he asked and moved, smirking as Ed sliced the man’s throat with ease.
Preference: Meeting Reader’s Parents (Villains)
Fandom: Gotham
Character: Jerome
You knew Jerome had issues with his parents, he had killed them both so obviously parents weren’t his thing. And your parents were almost the same as his. You were nervous, wondering what he would do upon meeting them, knowing what they did to you. He seemed relaxed, singing along to the radio as you drove. Jerome was ready, ready to do some talking about what had been done to you in the past and make sure it never happened again. Once at the house he knocked and once the door was opened he pulled your father into a hug before stabbing him in the back, just as you planned.
Character: Oswald
You had to beg Oswald to go visit your parents and try to get along. You knew he wasn’t really interested in those sorts of things but it would only be once, then he never had to again. He reluctantly agreed and you were now on your parents couch, them eyeing the strange man and judging. Oswald spoke about his business, making up things to cover the less than legal nature of his lifestyle, and letting them know he provided well for you. You agreed and soon your parents lightened up and even started talking to him as if he were part of the family. You could’ve been mistaken, but you thought you saw a smile from Oswald.
Character: Victor
Victor was an interesting person. Maybe a little too interesting sometimes. And your parents hated interesting. They wanted you to be with a normal, upstanding lawyer or police officer, someone they found worthy. However, you knew the truth, the lawyers were bottom feeders out only for money and the cops were all corrupt and only looking out for themselves. So you found Victor, a sweet, wonderful man who just happened to kill people for a living. You made sure that he didn’t point this out as you sat with your parents, eating dinner and trying to find something to talk about. It was awkward and took forever but finally the two of you were leaving, vowing to never have a family dinner again.
Character: Ed
Ed was perfect with your parents. He was respectful, funny, smart, and worked in a good field. They were completely fooled by his kind persona, not knowing the true person underneath that you saw everyday. The dinner went smoothly, the two of you being charming and normal, and during dessert you only slipped up once by laughing when your mother cut her finger while getting slices of cake. Ed quickly covered for you, making sure that they suspected nothing. It took some time but the two of you finally made it out of there without hurting anyone. “I really need to do something fun,” you said. Ed smirked. “I have an idea...”
Preference: Reader is a Dragon Trainer (Villains)
Fandom: Gotham
Character: Jerome
Jerome’s jaw hit the floor. Dragon trainer? Like real dragons? From medieval times and movies and shit? O this was just too perfect. He had been wondering how to create more chaos and this was the best thing to happen! He scooped you up, kissing you deeply, and then telling you how glad he was that you had told him your secret. And of course he’d never take advantage of it. “Never” he lied with a smile on his face.
Character: Victor
Nothing surprised Zsasz anymore. That was until you told him that in your spare time you trained dragons. He was so surprised that he blinked. You waited for an answer, pacing. He probably thought you were crazy even though you could prove it. Finally he nodded slowly and stood, going over to you and putting his hands on your shoulders. “Show me the dragons” he said, letting a small smile come to his face.
Character: Oswald
Oswald didn’t know why you dragged him out of the city. You said you knew a way to take down the Galavan’s and at this moment he would take all the help he could get. You had driven him outside to the forested area and made a sound and now you were waiting. He looked around and then he heard it. Wings. Big wings by the sound of it. Soon something thudded behind him, casting a large shadow. He turned, staring shocked up at the large dragon you were now petting. “Here Oswald, we can use my friend here to take care of those twin assholes,” you said with a smirk. Oswald finally looked to you, still in shock, but smiling wickedly.
Character: Ed
Ed was out burying yet another body when he heard something around him. “Yet again, out of the way forest is not out of the way,” he muttered, rising and grabbing a hachet. He finally found you walking and he snuck up slow, intending to kill you. “I wouldn’t do that,” you said as he raised his weapon. “I saw the bodies, do you like killing?” you asked, turning to him. He was frozen for some reason, sensing something else was watching him. “Yes I do, and why shouldn’t I put you in the pit with the others?” he asked. You smirked and looked up. He looked where you did, seeing the rather large dragon sitting above you, ready to strike should he threaten you. He lowered his weapon and cocked his head. “Well that would make disposing the bodies easier,” he said. You smirked. “Just the thought I had Mr. Nygma.”
Preference: Going Into Labor (Villains)
Fandom: Gotham
Character: Oswald
Oswald and you were enjoying a relaxing dinner when you felt it. Your water broke and you were in labor. “Oswald, I believe our baby is ready to meet us,” you said as calmly as possible. His eyes widened and he jumped from his chair. He called the doctor he’d paid to come when the baby was ready before helping you into bed. He then started pacing and every time you made a noise he was by your side to make sure that you were alright. When the doctor got there he yelled at them for taking too long and almost shot them until you reminded Oswald that if the doctor was dead he’d have to deliver the baby himself. That stayed his hand.
Character: Jerome
Jerome drove you to the hospital at light speed, glancing back at you every few seconds to make sure you were alright. He couldn’t stop laughing either. Normally this would’ve drove you crazy but this wasn’t his crazy laugh, he was excited and happy and you could see it. However, once he laughed for 45 minutes straight in the hospital room the nurse had had it, giving him some meds to lighten him up. So pretty much he spent most of the baby’s birth stoned.
Character: Victor
When you started contractions Victor barely registered what was going on. He got into his hitman mode wanting to keep himself focused. Get the bag, get to the hospital, make sure no one talked. That was his list. You were a little worried at his lack of reaction. This lasted the entire labor process, only when the baby was actually born you finally saw a smile.
Character: Ed
Ed had studied how to have babies with his research on parenting, just in case he would need it. However, when the time came he was almost disappointed. You were 10 days late so you were induced, already at the hospital and prepared when the labor started. It was anti-climactic but once he saw how comfortable you were he was happy. He even helped the nurses with your IVs to make sure you didn’t have any pain during labor and it was the best day of his life, even if it was boring at first.
Preference: Reader Saves Them (Villains)
Fandom: Gotham
Character: Jerome
Jerome had through his first day in Arkham would be fine. They would ignore him, he was ‘just a kid’ so like everyone else, they would just leave him be. Wow, had he been wrong. He was taking about his third beating that day, two guys wailing on him for fun. He was close to blacking out, that he could tell and was expecting to see darkness when the guys who were beating on him started groaning, letting him go. He opened his eyes, wiping the blood away from them to see you with a bloody knife smiling at him over their bodies. ‘Hi gorgeous, I’m Y/N’ you said.
Character: Oswald
No one challenged Oswald. Or touched his mother. Two rules that Gothamites needed to follow and they would be fine. The Galavans had broken both those rules so Oswald set out to punish them. Butch had gotten mother so Oswald, gun ready, headed straight into their lair, ready to kill. He was caught and disarmed, led to their office in cuffs. He saw a new guard, you, standing by Theo’s head. Theo went into a speech about how great you were and how you would kill Oswald in less than a second. Oswald smirked. ‘O believe me, I know’ he said. Theo frowned and turned to find your gun in his face, firing before he could think and then turning on Tabitha. You went over and kissed Oswald, taking off the cuffs.
Character: Ed
Ed headed home slowly, wanting to take his time on the nice night. He wasn’t expecting anyone to mess with him but when two officers approached, looking to rough him up because he was odd he expected the night to end on a sour note. However, he heard someone else approaching and smiled at you. You eyed the officers. ‘Were you planning to mess around with my Ed?’ you asked. They looked between each other, not sure how to feel with a witness there. ‘Leave, my boss, Mr. Dent, wouldn’t be too happy about me calling to complain about corrupt cops.’ They glared but stalked away. You smiled at Ed, taking his arm as the two of you headed home.
