Have you thought of mystogan x edo lucy?
Oh definitely. This would be such an interesting ship. I can like... totally see Mystogan having to mediate every time an argument breaks out between Knightwalker and Ashley because let’s face it those two are never going to get along. And he may not have gotten to know Earthland’s Lucy very well, but he is definitely aware that Ashley and her are NOTHING alike (the differences between Knightwalker and Erza still throws him for a loop sometimes but holy shit is it glaring between Ashley and Lucy). As basically the only Guild Master still around, I’m sure Ashley and Mystogan end up having to discuss policies. But politicking is not Ashley’s strong suit and “hey, King or whatever, how about we just go grab a beer and hash this out like normal people without the fogies breathing down our necks?”
And let’s face it - Mystogan grew up in FAIRY TAIL. Ashley moves at a pace that’s familiar and comforting to him.
