Hans Christian Andersen was close friends with a guy named Edvard Collin and the letters Andersen sent to him suggests he was hoping to become more than friends but Collin wasn’t interested. They stayed close until the end despite this.

Edvard is just the Danish version of Edward and Collin is pronounced like Cullen. I’ve been laughing for days.

 uhhh...recently (for an entire year) I've been hyperfixating on mister Hans Christian Andersen and partly with his best friend/crush/obsess

Recently made a blogger because I have no idea how to use Tumblr as an actual blog, and I'm nostalgic for looking at random blogspots. Who knows what my obsession will be in a year so it will be a general history blog but specifically Andersen for now of course.

My first post is all the images of edvard collin I've been able to find over a year that I've been putting in a random Google slides 🐵 Just in case anyone's interested. I've tried to source the images as best as I can, might update it in the future. I'm surprised that I even find new stuff recently so who knows.
