I don’t do much digital art so I wanted to share this here. =) I drew these circle heads for @pandirpus‘ wedding and I had loads of fun with them. XD

ToL plays Overwatch

Grul: Is flexible but mains Zenyatta. A. Very ANGRY Zenyatta. She really wants the best for her team, but when they don't work together, she easily gets frustrated. Single-handedly murders ppl if necessary. Will switch to whatever the team needs most.

Edwyne: Reinhardt speaks to her on a fundamental level and she plays him p much exclusively. Starts out as that kind of Rein who frickin ALWAYS charges off on his own to whack people with his hammer, but ends up as the Rein who's VERY protective of his healer.

Frea: Usually, he will Mercy for the team. He's the kind of overworked, slightly exasperated, but very caring kind of healer who will never let anyone die. But. When he solo q'es. He instalocks Mei. And then may god have mercy on your soul.

Menedhel: ...you know that attack Widowmaker? With the win rate of 35%? That's Menedhel. She doesn't give a FUCK what you do. She's up on a rooftop watching you die. She gets two or three kills throughout the entire game and expects you to thank her for it.

Eska: Plays a lot of Hanzo (OF COURSE), but. Yeah. Reaper. The kinda Reaper who plays Ovw one-player-mode. Gets gold elims every game, but almost no fucking objective kills or objective time cuz who CARES about that right.

Ingrith: Mostly mains Soldier. Is secretly really good at Ana. She is both the team mom and the team dad. Like "get off my lawn" but also "here's some healing, take your medicine!" Targets Edwyne especially with her sleep dart when they're facing off against each other.

Runwe: So fucking good at Pharah, she's been accused of cheating multiple times. Will wipe out the entire team and concussion blast you off every fucking edge, is always where you least expect her.

Marcius: The cutest Lucio. WILL heal you if you flirt with him. Mostly plays Ovw for recreational purposes. Is surprisingly apt at booping people off cliffs, but will mostly just scoot around and spread the love~~

Tir: The most annoying Sombra EVERY game. Harasses the shit outa you. He doesn't care about kills or medals or cards or whatever, but hacking a health pack just seconds before you get to it makes him happy. He's terrible.

Freaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and Edwyne <3 <3 <3 @ Character Writing Meme

Frea

- He has a LOT on his mind, but unless you’re using his pov or cheating at narration, you will barely get across any of it. Especially not when other people are around. He’s very easily overshadowed by other characters, and will barely ever speak up when more than two or three people are present.

- When he talks, he speaks in simple words. Short sentences. He likes being with people he loves, he wants to communicate and let others know how he feels, but he. Just. Really doesn’t wanna talk. He feels that instead of bringing across his thoughts, words are always in his way, twist his thoughts and cut him off from everyone around him.

- He’s not very smart in the academic manner. He’s also not very informed on political issues. But he’s pensive, emotionally intelligent and may one day even be wise.

- There are times when he opens up a lot around his friends, and that’s usually when he forgets about his inhibitions. Unfortunately, they always get the better of him sooner or later. Once those barriers will be removed once and for all, he will be able to be much warmer with his friends. He’s never going to be very talkative or expressive, he’s always going to be shy and reserved about his own opinions and needs, but he has the potential to be comfortable around those he loves.

- Crucial about Frea’s character is bringing across that it’s not his fault or the fault of his shyness he’s so disconnected from others. The problem is that even though he’s not very good at establishing boundaries, or maybe especially because of that, others need to learn how to respect them.

Edwyne

- Edwyne’s prevailing mood is optimism, liveliness and confidence. She radiates warmth and vigor, is very sociable and cares a lot for the well-being of others. She can be overwhelming sometimes and tends to think she knows what’s best for everyone around her. She always means well though, and her spirit is not just superficial. She loves deeply and profoundly.

- On the outside, she may seem super simple-minded and carefree, and that’s kinda the impression she wants you to have, too. Her innermost thoughts though are way more complex than she’d let anyone know. She often strives so much to be the ideal Nord warrioress that she won’t allow herself any of the many second thoughts rummaging around in the back of her head. If she often doesn’t seem like she thinks things through, it’s cuz she doesn’t wanna think things through. That doesn’t mean that more contemplative part of her doesn’t exist though.

- Edwyne always. ALWAYS speaks her mind. Doesn’t matter whether the situation calls for it, whether it’s rude or not, Edwyne will be open about her opinions. She’s proud of the space she takes up and will claim it if it isn’t voluntarily given to her.

- She’s prone to bias, but also quick to overcome it. As in: She’s initially distrustful of unfamiliar concepts or people, but she is easily delighted and trusts even quicker.

- The most important part about writing her is making sure that the reader understands Edwyne’s conflicts do not lie with her confidence or her pride. Those are her innermost fire that makes her the incredibly strong, loving and protective person she is. She doesn’t suffer from hubris, she suffers from others’ expectations.

Edwyne is another character who got a design update, tho hers actually happened within the story and is pretty important to her growth!

Aah... She’s always been able to look after herself, but now she’s growing strong and fearless in so many other ways and I’m so happy for her!

obviously these expressions call for bb!edwyne getting an apple for bb!frea with the trusty “stacking some barrels and not fearing gravity” method, while frea would just really prefer for edwyne to not be balancing on stacked barrels ;D

What kind of question is that tHEY ARE ALL BAES!! Just look-wise, it's Runwe and Temira, they are beyond gorgeous. But taking character and my weaknesses into account, it's definitely Ingrith and Cian. (I'd say Edwyne, too, because she BEAUTIFUL but she is my daughter in many ways)

All these proud and fierce and sometimes too brave baes, they will be the death of me I swear! I wish I could draw Runwe more often, that stern, soft child! Just like her stupidly self-sacrificial dads!

WATCH Edwyne kick your butt, ADMIRE her biceps when she takes you into a headlock during a friendly kerfuffle, at least until you pass out (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧

Frea and/or Edwyne!!

For Frea: “Color the Trees” by Firefox AK. To me it just conveys this loneliness and longing for something else while not wanting to leave behind what he has, and eventually the need for companionship that makes a big part of Frea’s character.

And only one song can match the frickin epicness that is Edwyne: “Iron” by Woodkid. The song is a bit more bitter and cold than she is and thus would maybe fit Ingrith better, but it still fits the sheer force of Edwyne, and the deep chasms that are gaping within her.
