This simple rice recipe for the slow cooker is great for days when you are busy and don't want to cook. Every time, the rice is fluffy and cooked just right.
Ingredients: 2 cups long grain white rice. 4 cups water. 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil. Salt to taste optional.
Instructions: Run cold water over the rice until the water is clear. The rice, water, butter or olive oil, and salt if using should all be put in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for two to three hours or high for one to two hours, or until the rice is soft and the liquid is gone. Before you serve, use a fork to fluff up the rice.
