President Levits stressed the regional significance of 3SI, according to an account of the discussion published by the Presidential Chancellery. "The main pillars of the Three Seas Initiative are unique. It is politically inspired and commercially driven initiative. It aims to attract private investment to our region. Baltic, Polish leaders en route to Kyiv to meet Zelenskyy

Baltic (Times Of Ocean)- Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian leaders will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday.

“On our way to Kyiv, to a city that has suffered terribly due to the Russian war since my last visit,” Estonian President Alar Karis wrote in a tweet that also included a picture of the leaders outside of a train.

“Together with Presidents Andrzej Duda, Gitanas Nauseda, Egils Levits, we visit Ukraine to show strong support to the Ukrainian people, will meet dear friend President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,” he added.

On February 24, Russia launched a “special military operation” in Ukraine to “denazify and demilitarize” Ukraine. Several western countries reacted with fury, imposing tough financial sanctions on Moscow.

Several leaders, including EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have met with Zelenskyy since Russia announced it would reduce its military activities toward Kyiv and Chernihiv.

After peace talks between Moscow and Kiev in Istanbul late last month, the decision was announced.

Ukraine’s negotiators, meanwhile, said they could agree to a neutral status, one of Russia’s top demands, but wanted international guarantees of its security.

Ukraineian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy, however, has rejected a request by the German president, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to visit Kyiv along with other European politicians on Wednesday.

Currently, Steinmeier, a former foreign minister and former ally of Gerhard Schröder, is visiting Poland, where he is discussing the implications of the Russian war in Ukraine with his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda.

On Monday, Austria’s chancellor Karl Nehammer met Vladimir Putin at Russian President’s residence in Moscow. The meeting was held to discuss efforts to open humanitarian corridors in war-torn areas of Ukraine.

The chancellor says he held “very direct, open and tough” talks in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin — and told him the war in Ukraine needs to end.

Vladimir Putin met with a Western leader for the first time since his assault on Ukraine began.
