shape and colour determine the design of the shop front of the glaziery. the craftsmanship practised here is reflected in even the smallest details. hopefully they will never consider redesigning the façade, which really is a total work of art.

welcome to what is probably the safest non-parking area in cologne. the adverts that are still there refer to et fesch hus, which is now called reefhouse. you can still buy fresh fish there or enjoy it on the spot.

willkommen auf dem wahrscheinlich sichersten nichtparkplatz in köln. die noch dort vorhandene Werbung weißt auf das et fesch hus hin welches sich inzwischen reefhouse nennt. frischen fisch kann man dort immer noch kaufen oder vor Ort genießen.

versteckte orte zu entdecken ist immer wieder eine freude, vor allem wenn sie sich in dem veedel befinden wo man selber wohnt.

every time I see the window I ask myself if the symbols mean something or if they are just the imagination of the designer. they are also the only colourful element on this otherwise drab grey façade.

right next to the best craft beer shop in the veedel is this tailor shop. the presentation of the goods was so timeless that i just had to capture it. it could be in the eighties or seventies instead of 2022.
