Nightmare Manifest
Germán Peralta's recurring visual motif in Magik (2025) #1-5:

Magik (2025) #2 - Illyana as an adult continues to be haunted by Darkchilde
Magik (2025) #3 - Magik relives her nightmare
Magik (2025) #4 - Magik with the Darkchilde breaking through
Magik (2025) #5 - No longer haunted, Illyana claims Darkchilde as her own.

It is a GREAT honor to be nominated, and I am deeply humbled and grateful!

Are you an American who has been hoping to get the shiny and beautifully produced hardcover of Worst Journey Vol.1 for a mere $14(before shipping)? Or are you anyone in the world who would like to download a fully-zoomable PDF to enjoy on the electronic reader of your choice? Then get down to the Iron Circus store, because I've only gone and got an Eisner nomination, and there's a sale on nominated books.
The Eisner Awards are tonight, Pacific Time. Will I wake up in the UK tomorrow morning to have an Eisner-winning book on my hands? No – some of the other nominees are French. But it's nice to be considered their peer for a little while at least.
it's not even funny how out of place LO looks alongside all the other Eisner nominees, and YES I took the example panel straight from the episode that was linked on the 2024 nominations list-
like i'm not joking when i say that the eisners risk losing every shred of its credibility in the webcomics category if it awards LO for the third year in a row, they don't even fucking compare
(btw the webcomics up for nomination in the order listed above are:
Matchmaker (Indie)
Asturias: The Origin of a Flag (Indie, but commissioned by the Government of Asturias if you can believe that! a lot of its panels are animated, it's really cool!)
Daughter of a Thousand Faces (Tapas Original)
Unfamiliar (hosted in Tapas' F2R section but it's been indie for years)
3rd Voice (Webtoon Canvas)
and ofc LO which is Webtoons' only Originals series up for a nomination this year, I would be absolutely over the moon if a Canvas / indie series won this year just to stick it to WT and Tapas lmao)
Zatanna News!
Today was kind’ve a bug day for the mistress of magic with several fun announcements. First we get confirmation that Zatara is in the Dcu, and that he technically cameoed in Superman! Just like how his first appearance was in the first Superman comics all those years ago! (We also got Madame Xanadu in a JLD costume).
Second we got confirmation of a new action figure made by Todd Mcfarlane! Who has gotten flack for being sexist in the past. So it’s kinda crazy to see him making one for her. And it’s so cute because it comes with a little Bobo the Detective Chimp. Set to debut this Summer or Fall
And just barely announced but Zatanna Bring Down The House is also officially an Eisner winner!!! That is so huge and exciting, even though I have some issue with the story, the art truly was amazing. And having the series was still fun as a Zatanna fan. So a very big congratulations to the creative team.
And for a final bonus, this was announced a little earlier but Zatanna will also feature in the DCKO event. This one I’m kinda nervous about. But still thrilled about everything else.
That’s all for now!
