Turkey is currently experiencing another political earthquake: Police arrested leading opposition mayors from Adana, Antalya and Adıyaman. President Erdoğan's government claims that this is a crackdown on corruption. The opposition, on the other hand, speaks of a purge - a desperate attempt to suppress opposition ahead of possible new elections. As inflation rises and support for Erdoğan falls, his strongest rival, Ekrem İmamoğlu, is gaining ground. Is this the beginning of the end for Erdoğan - or just another chapter in his power game?
