new lore text about the black grail and Beelzebub, a text about Ekron and talks a lot about Beelzebub himself. And i loved, i will rumble about it a bit, sorry (not really hahaha).
i love this faction so much, they are horrible, so, so horrible and yet, so amazing to read about them. Beelzebub hates God so much, that his followers that are not touched by the black grail (the ones of the court of 7 headed serpent, the armies of glutony and the heretic army) can't go to Ekron, beelzebub hates them because they are still human, because they were made in god's image, so he literally see god in every human not touched by the black grail so he hates us because of it.
Ekron is filled with temples, statues and objects of adoration, not because of their monetary value (that would be mammon), but because Beelzebub feeds on worship, he hopes that one day he will be powerful enough to invade heaven once more, he don't want to rule hell, he wants the throne of God, he believes that is his birthright, something that his father, god, took from him. So he eats, he feast on creation itself with his plagues in a hope that one day, he will have what he believe is rightfully his.
His hunger wishes above all else the sole right to divine worship, he wants to be God, that is the only throne that matters to him, he wants to be God and his plages (the black grail and the great hunger) is how he reshape god's work to suit him.
