Must be the best baby I ever drew.
Thranduil's elfling
Okay, it still hurts that I'm not good at writing fanfiction, but for now I'll write a little about the concept I have in mind so it doesn't get lost.
So... we know that Legolas is a few millennia old, I think around 2900, and if I'm not mistaken, elves mature at 50, —sorry again if I'm wrong—, but anyway, fanfiction doesn't have to follow the canon 100%, so...
In the world I've created in my head, the following is true.
Obviously, Thranduil loves Legolas with all his heart; he is his world and his joy.
The people of Eryn Galen love their royal family; in fact, it is well known among elves that they are the most loyal people.
In my world, when elves turn 100, they are no elfligs, but let's say they basically stop being babies, so they would be like a 2-year-old child.
When they reach their first millennium, they are teenagers, or around 15 human years old, and they are still children to their parents, from then on they grow more slowly.
When they reach 2,000 years of age, they enter full youth, or the equivalent of 18 human years.
When they reach 3,000 years of age, they are considered full adults, or around 21 human years.
Elves adore their children and don't care how old they are or how many centuries have passed since they reached full maturity, so if you argue with Thranduil that Legolas is no longer his adorable elfling, he will win, obviously.
Well, in my mind, Legolas turns 1,000 years old in the year Aragorn is born (you can tell I didn't want to complicate things HAHAHA).
So, this is more or less the outline I have for the ages. To be honest, I have a lot of disconnected scenes in my mind that revolve around this, but I still don't know how to put them into coherent words.
Oh, and happy birthday, Orlando Bloom!
Link and Zelda as part-Maiar Elves, Ganon as a Balrog, and the endless cycle of reincarnation witnessed by older Elves.
For ages, the Elves of Middle-earth have whispered of a prophecy, the curse. It spoke of the Balrog Ganon and of two Elves fated to confront him across the ages.
Link and Zelda are not merely elves; they are part-Maiar elves, two souls caught in a cycle of endless war.
Each time Ganon's evil stirs, they are reborn as Elflings, stripped of their memories but not of their heroic spirit or divine heritage.
When they die, their spirits return to the Halls of Mandos and then are sent back into the world for the next conflict.
This is a story of their current reincarnation.
They are young Elflings, slowly awakening in Middle-earth, not yet sure what is going on.
The older Elves, like Glorfindel, have seen this cycle many times before. The Balrog slayer even saw Link kill Ganon in the fall of Gondolin.
The return of the two-part Maiar Elves is a clear sign: The Balrog Ganon is stirring from his long slumber. His return will start; they aren't sure but hope it won't take long. Not like last time, when it was only a few weeks.
Older Elves , who has lived through millennia, have seen dozens, if not hundreds, of these reincarnations. They would have seen Link and Zelda as young children, as mighty heroes, and then as fallen warriors.

Adult Opal design?
Had a surgery so I haven’t been drawing much, this is the first time I’ve felt good enough to sit and actually draw so I decided to work on the design for adult Opal! It’s a first sketch but I like it so far.
I also have to figure out the logistics of her being the offspring of a tiefling and elf, I’m just gonna call it elfling for now lol
@feanorianweek Day 6: Ambarussa
“ hunting”: cheeky little twins hunting for cake. yep.
A holiday for every elfling.
