Today marks Elie Wiesel’s yartzeit — the anniversary of his passing. A Holocaust survivor, writer, and Nobel Laureate, Wiesel dedicated his life to memory, justice, and bearing witness. He taught the world that silence helps the oppressor, never the oppressed.
