I'm working on a fic (idk when/if I'll post it) and it's post canon byler taking place around Thanksgiving 1992 and it was originally going to be completely canon compliant but then I realized if I didn't put Elle/Jane in it I'd actually never forgive myself and the more I think about it the more I want to change lol like I'm also really fascinated by the concept of the lasting affects of the upside down like Max needing mobility aids and having vision problems, Will having a prosthetic eye (Shout out @kidovna 4 this post) and potentially epilepsy as a result of the possession (I also got this from someone's post but I forgot who), Dustin and Lucas with various scars, Mike with a prosthetic arm or hand, a bunch of them with respiratory issues because no matter what the show says that shit was NOT safe to breathe, it's just so interesting. Also I found a post about Kali and Jonathan being friends because they're both kinda punk and now I kind of have to include that in the fic so she's alive too now and I also might include henderhop because why not and basically what I'm saying is it's not canon compliant anymore because I'm cooler than the duffer brothers

Is literally just misogyny dress up as feminism . Elle been alone most of her life the idea that a woman need to be single in order to be independent is so wrong and sexist . Like they’re a right and wrong way to be independent ? There not . Mind you both Max and Nancy have been in relationship throughout the entire series and still can be seen as independent in their own right separate from their men but it only Elle that some folks want to label as weak (we know why ,they want her boyfriend for their ship🙄). Nevermind how crazy it is to say the girl that has save the group and the world season after season put herself in harm way to protect the ones that she loves is somehow is not independent 🥴? Nevermind we see her go on solo missions to find herself in season 2 with meeting up with her sister and finding her birth mom . We see her breakup with Mike and discover herself trough friendship with Max in season 3. She literally did take time away from her relationship to discovered herself as a person outside of her relationship with her boyfriend came back with a new found sense of self and then rekindle her relationship with Mike.

And if anyone need independence it Byers who we see this season is only beginning to find himself and learn to live outside of his mom protective bubble also that heart to heart talk Robyn had with him was clearly cause she saw that he looking for love and acceptance in all the wrong places . Mike is the equivalent to Tammy in Robyn story and Robyn let him know he need to find himself within himself not Mike .

There are some really underrated Lucas and Eleven friendship moments that should be more appreciated. Like him rubbing her shoulders to help her dry off in season 1. There is so much character development between these kids.
