Not a nutritionist, but gaining mass muscle (i.e working out/bulking up) is probably the safest way to go since muscle ways more than fat and is healthier to have more of. I recommend doing research and if you have the insurance/money for it seeing a doctor or nutrition specialist in your network of you can.

My boyfriend is doing the same thing, and supposedly eating banana a lot helps out. Also drinking full glass(es) of water after a meal helps, too. I'll ask him more tips that his recruiter gave him and give you an update

I can’t believe I actually got responses :’) Thanks for your help, I’ll definitely look into all this! Except for maybe the working out... because I’m horribly lazy and also have issues feeling comfortable in gyms.. maybe I can figure out a way to do that at home without needing to buy equipment we don’t have money for
And definitely trying out the banana eating and potatoes. I love potatoes. So good.
