April 1, 2023 - Emerald Swift (Sceloporus malachiticus) These swifts are found in parts of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. They feed on insects, foraging in the early morning. Unlike many species in the same family, they are ovoviviparous, meaning their eggs hatch while inside the female and she gives birth to live young.

Picture from “Potay-tay’s” first day home!
Picture from the second day when I had to physically bring them into the bedroom so Jess (@altamaranempire) could see that they’d survived their first night.
Recent picture featuring them lounging on their temporary makeshift hide. Since then, I’ve witnessed them eating their first mealworm since arriving! As a matter of fact, I was literally holding her when she did so because she refused to let go of my hand when I was trying to return her to her tank. I just said “to heck with it” and threw a mealworm in a dish and held her nearby it. A thoughtful moment, then BANG!
An update to Emerald Swift!
Had a bit of fun replicating part of the opening to Miraculous Ladybug with not only the miraculous holders we know of/from the title, but also the OCs of myself @garr9988, @kingtyphlosionarts, and @justhere-for-gayanthros
A couple of recent pics from my tiny zoo ❤️ I've been heavily neglecting this account but I plan to put up posts with pictures of everyone and their enclosures soon.
