End update wish fulfillment concept art part 1

I have no strong feelings about the ender dragon fight so I’ve got nothing about that.

Color scheme primarily different shades of grey, black and yellow to put emphasis on the minimal purple assets (like eyes of the endermen/dragon).

Expanding on the liminal space feeling rather than rewriting the end to be more lively.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think we need an end update? Outside of maybe adding a few more stone variants to End Stone, the end is kinda not designed to be revisited and resource managed the way the Nether is.

The fact that the portal can’t be moved, the fact you die and lose your inventory if you fall into the void, the fact you respawn at home when you exit, the fact it’s so far away from spawn… it’s just not somewhere people are going to routinely go unless it’s to get elytra and defeat the ender dragon.

Also, I just really like the fact that the end is made up of concentric rings of floating islands that get thinner and thinner the further you go out until they reach a glitched state.

I think this sort of existential eldritch horror of how the end is made up of these rings is just so very… Minecraft. Like, the mystery of this place is what’s fascinating, not that elytra exists. This is the closest thing we have to the far-lands still existing in the game. I don’t want this updated or removed.

Give me a few end stone cut variations on the stone cutter and I’m good.

Since Mojang drops 1 large update every year or so, imagine if they drop the End Udate this year, ahah, imagine ✨️

All jokes aside tho, the End Update would be so damn cool to get, but it would be funny if it gets dropped just as I write/plan that part of my story ahah. It would be unfortubate but very funny and appreciated either way, and I wouldn't mind sacrificing some extra time writing if it means having more fun while playing :]

If they actually drop the End Update this year tho I want to be referred to as The Prophet, cause that would be INSANE. Ok yap over now BYEEE <3

I’d like for an End update to keep the current portal locations but perhaps add intricacies to the strongholds. More complex architecture, perhaps, occasionally hinting at End city architecture.

For the End itself, I’d like for the design of the fountain and towers to be updated so that they look more complex. The Ender Dragon herself needs to be buffed, because she is too easy to defeat. I would love to see a more detailed design of her as well.

The End itself is meant to look like a wasteland, so I’d like if it was kept somewhat barren. Maybe with one or two other added ruins that can be found and pillaged. A differently colored variant of endstone to add texturing, maybe. Areas hinting at what once might have been another biome.

I love Minecraft; these are my personal headcanons and designs.
