I’d like for an End update to keep the current portal locations but perhaps add intricacies to the strongholds. More complex architecture, perhaps, occasionally hinting at End city architecture.
For the End itself, I’d like for the design of the fountain and towers to be updated so that they look more complex. The Ender Dragon herself needs to be buffed, because she is too easy to defeat. I would love to see a more detailed design of her as well.
The End itself is meant to look like a wasteland, so I’d like if it was kept somewhat barren. Maybe with one or two other added ruins that can be found and pillaged. A differently colored variant of endstone to add texturing, maybe. Areas hinting at what once might have been another biome.
I love Minecraft; these are my personal headcanons and designs.
So since the overworlds main tree type is normal trees and flowers, the nethers is fungus, if we ever get an end update, I think it’s main vegitation could be flowers!
Maybe large flowering things with large transparent petals mimicking the ender dragons wings, with so many new colors, like how the nether has the warped forest with teal fungus growths, maybe the end gets a secondary color of lime!
Gaze apon my Copeium, my concept for an end update
Been thinking recently about the hypothetical Minecraft End update.
Now the End update is a very highly requested update, so it'd need some pretty serious changes to the end to be made.
I'm aware that another heavily requested update is a sculk dimension update, given the large 'portal' in the ancient city. I straight up don't think they'll ever make a sculk dimension - nor should they. The sculk is mysterious, and to add a whole dimension to try to justify its existence would kinda ruin the mystique.
My main reason as to why a sculk dimension won't be added is just because they already did so in the Minecraft marketplace, and to do anything other than leave it be would nullify all the work put into the pack.
"What does this have to do with the End update?" I'm glad you asked! I propose adding the sculk to End! This way, the End cities make perfect sense: a civilisation made a city underground, tried to make a proto-End-portal (the giant ancient city portal) and succeeded, but the sculk got through and destroyed the city. It then couldn't spread any further due to being trapped in caves.
The sculk's presence in the End works quite well too! Being a very mysterious place, it wouldn't really explain the sculk like its own dimension would, maintaining the mystique. Plus, the islandic nature of the End provides a reason as to why the sculk hasn't overrun the dimension: it can't travel between the islands.
Now obviously, this wouldn't constitute an End update - but I do think it would be a great way for Mojang to quench the thirst players have for a sculk dimension, as well as add to an End update. Other pointers would be to introduce the End biomes displayed in Minecraft dungeons - when playing the End section of the game, I was devastated that the biomes weren't in minecraft.
Please keep in mind that this is just some rambly nonsense from a guy that doesn't spend hours reading up on theorised Minecraft lore, so don't take it the wrong way if I've completely neglected something really important.
