Endrin is old, however, and the time has come for one of his children to make their move: they will prove their worth in replacing their father, or fall to treachery from within their own family. The halls of Orzammar run deep, they say, but the blood runs deeper.

Headcanon that in a timeline with a Brosca Warden who makes Bhelen king, little Endrin grows up to be all about the Grey Wardens. As a child, he wears Grey Warden-themed clothes (a la Kieran), loves getting griffon toys. As king, he supports Wardens every time they come to Orzammar, puts up statues honoring past dwarf Wardens, will generally support whatever position Warden Brosca supports (for example, if the Warden supports mage rights, rebel mages will always be welcome in Orzammar).
Consequently, becoming a Warden becomes viewed as an exceptionally honorable vocation in dwarven culture in general. Wardens coming to the Deep Roads for their Calling are treated as heroes. Whatever attitude the rest of Thedas has towards the order, Orzammar is ride or die.
They also just don't understand humans and elves getting their panties in a twist whenever the Wardens at at all interfere in politics. Like, that ship's long sailed for them.
