05.18.17 London Contemporary Orchestra collaborated with Ensemble LPR for a concert at Le Poisson Rouge which featured pieces by Jonny Greenwood, Mica Levi, Philip Glass, Julius Eastman and more.
On Thursday May 12th Ensemble LPR heads to Bushwick’s House of Yes to present Black Angels, a haunting and mesmerizing voyage of the soul through sound!
The evening’s program will feature George Crumb’s Black Angels, the world premiere of Ricardo Romaneiro’s Nocturnal Suite, and “Favus Distillans” from Hildegard von Bingen’s Chants to Saint Ursula. The evening will also feature theatrical performances by Lady Circus!

Join us this Monday evening! Le Poisson Rouge presents Follow, Poet an evening of Irish song with Ensemble LPR performing Mohammed Fairouz’s Audenesque from its debut release on Deutsche Grammophon (watch the video above for more), featuring Kate Lindsey, and the world premiere of David Handler’s Celtic Verses, featuring Mary Mackenzie.

Ensemble LPR kicks of its 2014 schedule this Friday, January 24! They team up with "local piano luminary" and "persuasive soloist" Taka Kigawa for a program featuring music by Ligeti, Varèse, Dai Fujikura, Zosha Di Castri, and Brad Lubman. Here's a video of Kigawa performing Ligeti's Etude No. 2 "Cordes à vide" at LPR in 2011.
