episode 94: The Heroes' Reunion! His Name Is Fire Fist Ace!

I do like ace's design. his hat is so iconic. and his tattoo being misspelled is such a cool/ minor detail that we don't see a lot in anime. i hope we at some point get to learn why/ how it got that way.

usopp's eyes being slightly different sizes makes me feel like he is another character entirely. it's so... minorly off-putting.

SMOKER AND TASHIGI!!!! MY TWO FAV MARINES, NEXT TO KOBY AND GARP! always love to see them.

like, i know ace is a big character, but how funny would it be if he straight up just died in his intro episode?

much like luffy and zoro, it seems like ace can fall asleep any time, any place, and that's so much funnier.

this is such a fucking funny frame. smoker's face here is amazing.

though i am a bit annoyed at luffy, because like what was his plan? like i know he never thinks, but he was going to wreck the restaurant?

cute moment. i like that ace is somewhat polite, as opposed to his moron brother.

i actually really like this moment for smoker. he knows ace is a big deal, but right now luffy is his target, so nothing else matters.

dining and dashing is funny and on brand, but would it kill luffy to pay for a meal for once?

i like how smoker always keep his cool. even during this chase scene, he's gathering info.

THAT LINE GOES SO HARD. adding him to the cool guys list! his design also works really well because he's fire and obviously wouldn't want to wear too many clothes.

great ending frame. i also like how everyone, even the audience, is finding this out at the same time. very cool episode.

Listening to ep 94 as i am typing this but there was a conversation and i need to talk about it immediately.

Yes the picture book was terrible I'm not even getting into that, but this is about Gilleon. When they brought Ollie to his mom and he talks to Jay and goes "i didn't know mothers worried like that" BRO

HELLO? IS ANYONE HEARING ME? IT WAS SUCH A SMALL MOMENT IN THIS ALREADY HEARTFELT SCENE BUT IT MADE MY HEART CRACK EVEN MORE

Gilleon Tidestrider, exiled from his home, never grew up with a mothers care, someone to worry about him and how he's doing. That didn't fit with who he was meant to be.

He never learned that a mother is meant to worry.
