After having read the book by David Grann, I had to see the film, "Killers of the Flower Moon" directed and co-written by Martin Scorsese with Eric Roth. To see Lily Gladstone inhabit her character Mollie was nothing short of astounding. Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro as well as the rest of the cast turn in some outstanding performances as well. Though the film concentrates on these few characters, the Osage murders cast a much wider net and is what lead in part to the FBI becoming more powerful. This was a systemic conspiracy that resulted in over a hundred deaths and didn't stop even after Bill Hale went to jail. More people need to learn about what happened to Indigenous people in Oklahoma and the entire continent. It just breaks my heart when so much history is unknown and denied...
