Y'all, I'm not sure if I can properly explain this one. I just know that I feel it in my heart. but i will try

Something gets a little lost here due to how shittily I make my gifs, but you can still kind of almost see it-- the visible tears in her eyes, the tremor in her lips, the tension of her throat

Erin is just 22 in this moment, and like. that's actually p much exactly the age ~Glinda the Good~ SHOULD be given they were college freshmen when this started. and.

she's so baby.

she's so baby, and her heart is broken, and that's my girl.

the thing about doing this project as comprehensively as I have is that sometimes I worry I've lost sight of the characters in favor of the actors and their choices. so often when I'm cheering it's from a sort of metatextual Doylist perspective, in an "i see what you did there" sort of way, instead of engaging with it as a story the way I'd like where i can be swept away

and then every once in a while there will be brief, inexplicable moments like this one, where I see Glinda, and it makes me ache.

also, side note: shouts out to the standing LA satellite production for CONSISTENTLY having the best wigs of any Wicked ever. the movie people knew what they were doing and I wish we could have kept them. also funky guitar guy.
