Oh yeah, got another bleeding wound at escrima tonight

Knuckle hits are the most fucking annoying things because like the skin can never rest directly over a joint so it takes forever to fully heal over but alas they are also the most common, stings every time I wash my hands

Not my fault though, was helping someone below me learn the double roof block and he caught my hand instead of my stick, which like shit happens that's fair enough, took me ages to get comfortable with the double roof myself

Spent most of the class practicing the split power response to an overhead strike though which like cool, I like that one, outside variation especially feels very smooth and natural, inside it's harder but I got it down more quickly than I expected to be honest
