Dance Like a Snake!
The theme for the Character Design Challenge this month was African Tribes. I wanted to make a dancer, so after a bit of research, I decided on the Eskista dancers from Ethiopia. I also leaned on Amhara tribe influences for her dress, though the dance itself is not specific to one tribe from what I could find, but more a regional dance. Young Ayana is practicing her Eskista dance for her pet snake, Bayissa. He always seems to have good advice for the shoulder wiggles in her dance (despite not having shoulders of his own!).
