Some new doodles of Eva! I could never really forget about her 💖 It's just that life gets busy sometimes (hello, work deadlines!). But she's always here in my sketchbook — my little source of joy.

Eva's design and character has changed a bit over time. But you know how it is with OCs 😄

oh one thing, in this AU nobodys a highschooler. i guess the setting (if i had to change it) it'd be more like a project that certain people qualify for. and being a child isn't required to sync to an eva (that was always kind of a weird thing for me in OG eva LOOOOOL)

des being the shinji equivalent but obsessed with piloting after 3 horrible tragedies. he decides if its going to suck and hurt and be terrible he's going to try to max it out in a weird like... tricking yourself into thinking youre in control kinda way.

juraci being kaworu equivalent. i like to think he'd break more rules than kaworu though

chione having her asuka moments trying to find purpose in her aimlessness, she is asuke-esque in that she's got a few outbursts that that are rather unsavory of her character (no mommy issues but instead DADDY issues, who didn't comfort her through it all)

paz being her resilient misato self, though with a twist, she likes playing the angel game, she likes having the upperhand with the preternatural beings, she wants to outsmart them more than she cares about gendos plan (who is gendo equivelant? Hehe thats a spoiler)

kairon being essentially the rei, he's essentially the medical service in all of this, he believes he is born to nurse humanity back to wholeness as a principle of being human and if he can't then he doesn't know what he is.

get in the robot destiny or kairon will have to do it again and he'll gladly do it you know, because he loves that youre alive and well, he was born in a vat to serve mankind and be your friend. isn't that awful destiny? why would you take advantage of his kind soul like that destiny.

Some sketches and unfinished art from a kyokaji Eva au concept I'm working on.

I haven't finished developing it yet but here are a few ideas I've come up with.

The Angels are large feathered beasts that eat humans

Kyoya is an Angel/human hybrid. Just like in canon, he was experimented on against his will and given Angel DNA. Because of this, he is forced to eat humans himself, or he will lose his own humanity and become a feral Angel. (This is also why he's suddenly so much taller than Kaji lol.)

Kaji is desperately trying to find a cure for Kyoya and bring him back to his original self. He spends his time studying the Angels so he can learn more about them.

Kaji and Kyoya met in an orphanage when they were young. Both of their families were killed by Angels.

I haven't really decided what to do with the other characters yet. Aside from the fact that Misato and Kaji were lovers at some point in the past (because if it ain't broke don't fix it).
