the whole situation with the AI AATC fiasco is really getting me down because we are such a small fandom. There really aren’t that many people who care enough about the chipmunks to speak out against what Bagdasarian productions are doing/speak up for the franchise. The people who DO care are absolutely doing everything they can, and I’m happy that they are. But I’m sad at the same time because I feel like we are too few in numbers to actually make a big enough deal about this for Ross and Janice to care. If something like this happened to my little pony, for example, the online fanbase is HUGE. there would be SO MUCH uproar. Things would either immediately be changed or there would be enough people doing something about it for the company to at least know that the fanbase wasn’t happy.

Ross and Janice evidently pay no attention to what’s going on in the aatc fanbase, they pay no attention to how the actual FANS keeping the franchise alive feel, and I feel like the fanbase just isn’t big enough for THAT MUCH of an uproar. I’m absolutely going to be sending them a letter; I don’t want the chipmunks going down this route, but that doesn’t change how upset and frustrated I am.

Alvin redesign bc fuck AI

I changed the lore because I hate the idea of them being influencers. In my version, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and The Chipettes are rockstars who are trying to get their careers back off the ground again after years of living like normal kids.

I aged the chipmunks and Chipettes up. My version of Alvin is 14 years old. My idea for an AATC reboot is its own continuity but it does share elements from the original 1980s cartoon and the live action movies. Yes, that means Ian Hawke exists in my universe. Also Miss Miller exists in my universe just bc she’s one of my favorite characters lol.

I made this just for fun but what if we bullied the studios enough to pick up my idea? /hj

To all the people out there who don’t care because this is happening to Alvin and the Chipmunks…and we’re so “cringe” and “pointless” and “annoying.”

Please stand with us. Please fight for us. Your favorite movie or show franchise could end up next. If this stuff gets made, it will not stop at Alvin and the Chipmunks. We could be looking at a future where human creativity is obsolete and everything entertainment is all Ai generated.

We need to find a way to shut this down before it spreads and I am telling you we are too small and niche of a fandom to do it alone.

If you care about the integrity of entertainment and the jobs of billions of artists, writers, animators, and so on, PLEASE HELP US!

I am DONE with waiting for Bagdasarian productions and any studios affiliated with them to produce any meaningful Alvin and the Chipmunks or Chipettes content, it is clear they have no passion to take it anywhere meaningful, it is clear they would rather turn it into the face of manufactured media rather than a testament to music and animation it has been, at least to me, since 1958.

Bless y'all real fans and I'm sorry this is what has emerged of a franchise we hold so dearly.
