I was listening to Wildest Dreams this weekend and this Evanstan fic idea popped into my head....so I wrote it down?
This is basically the first thing I’ve ever “written,” so a HUGE shout out to my sweetheart @musette22 for looking at this and hyping me up! Here we go 😬 (I hope you enjoy)
The song is told from Seb’s POV and Chris and Seb are professors at the same college. Chris is an art professor and his specialty is animation, and Seb is a language professor (Romanian) and they work in the same building. Chris is a little older, well respected, always seems stern and always has people around and Seb is newer, maybe hasn’t made many friends on staff yet.
So one day they’re at some staff function or whatnot and Chris is finally a little more relaxed, a little looser, maybe has some beer in his system and finally really noticed Seb and is like “whoa.” Chris walks over and it’s instant attraction and they make small talk but then
“He said, "Let's get out of this town
Drive out of the city, away from the crowds"
So they dip out to Chris’ lake house or whatever and obviously fuck.
“I thought heaven can't help me now
Nothing lasts forever, but this is gonna take me down
He's so tall and handsome as hell
He's so bad but he does it so well
I can see the end as it begins
My one condition is”
It’s beautiful and wonderful and amazing and they connect so well.
“Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress
Staring at the sunset, babe
Red lips and rosy cheeks
Say you'll see me again
Even if it's just in your wildest dreams, ah-ha

And that happens several times on the weekends for several weeks but Chris never seems to really acknowledge Seb at work beyond just short fleeting glances.
“I said, "No one has to know what we do"
His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room
And his voice is a familiar sound
Nothing lasts forever but this is getting good now”
And Seb is hurt and doesn’t understand why Chris acts so in love on their weekends at the cabin yet doesn’t even pay him any mind at work.
“He's so tall and handsome as hell
He's so bad but he does it so well
And when we've had our very last kiss
My last request is

Staring at the sunset, babe

But even though Chris is falling legit in love hard and fast and he can tell Seb is too, he calls off their relationship. He has had his heart broken in the past and he doesn’t want to be hurt again because this love feels real and true and forever. He’s also never been in an actual relationship with a guy, he’s only had hookups and he’s scared. And Seb is hurt of course and doesn’t know why Chris broke things off.

“Someday when you leave me
I bet these memories
Follow you around”
Chris is sad and is missing Seb but he doesn’t open up to Seb about why or why he broke things off, he just goes on a sabbatical, somewhere artsy like Europe. It’s summer and Seb is in Europe too, in Romania, and follows Chris on Instagram and sees he’s in Europe too. Eventually he sees Chris is in Italy and Seb just goes “fuck it” and goes to meet him. And he is able to track Chris down in Florence and Chris is at the Piazzale Michelangelo and Seb spots him and goes over. And they definitely have like a passionate kiss and probably tears and Chris asks Seb to dinner where he explains everything. And he has to say something about “never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be so lucky to have someone like you. And they spend the rest of the summer soaking up the Italian sun and being together 💕

LEEEEEE! Well thanks to you now I can't stop thinking about it either 😩 Listen, rsdr Chris is a LION and he would break that greasy twinky tommy Seb, but like, in the way that would have Seb saying 'thank you', and 'more please'. Or I don't know if he'd be so polite actually, he'd probably be pretty bratty about it and just keep pushing Chris's buttons until Chris snapped and picked Seb up like he weighed nothing, before either throwing him onto a bed or pushing him against a wall and taking him apart until he wasn't quite so mouthy anymore 🥴

In this Evanstan AU Sebastian is 34 years old singer of czech alternative band (they're playing different genres) named SeKUNDY. (in translation it could be SeCUNTS ("sekundy" in czech mean "seconds") and "kundy" mean "cunts")
Because Sebastian is from Czech his name is Sebastián Stan. (The Czech pronunciation of his name is very similar to the Romanian one)
fun fact "Stan" in Czech means "tent"
He also has heterochromia. (which Chris really loves on him)
And the last thing: Sebastián has a twin sister. Her name is Kateřina, but she really hates it. So she uses Kate.
Kate Stan. It's her artistic name. Because her name in czech is Kateřina Stanová.

So Kate and her brother Sebastian play in one band. He sings and she's behind the drums.
Their band became quite famous around the world.
By Czech standards, it could be said that it was a miracle. Sebastián formed a band with his sister and four other people when they were 23. So in 2010. First they recorded covers for various songs and then they started composing their own work.
They wrote the texts in Czech, English and translated the texts they originally wrote in Czech into English. From time to time, the repertoire is diversified with texts in Russian. (Because Sebastian can speak fluent Russian.) Which also helped them a lot to make themselves visible.
Before the music / band started earning and making a living, Sebastian made a living as a graphic artist, because art and drawing are his next passion and Kate as a social worker.
And this is Chris. Chris is 38 years old American actor (like in our reality) but he also moves in the world of music. He has a sideward band "Lies inside us" with which he play here and there when he has a break in acting.
So Chris knows Sebastian's band very well and he's glad when he learn that he and Sebastian's band are touring North America together.
Chris is fascinated when he saw twins together for the first time. They're so similar. And they chemistry when they're playing? You can feel it. He is also fascinated especially when he meets Sebastian face to face and notices that each eye has a different color. Chris loves Sebastians Czech accent. He thinks it's cute.
