jean would do so well with a high maintenance girlfriend.

not even someone who likes to get her hair and nails done and things like that (although he’d love to be the one paying for his gf’s upkeep), but just someone who gets a little too fussy over small things.

like huffing over your pillows not being fluffy enough or your sweater feeling too itchy. anyone else would roll their eyes at such a drama queen but he takes it as his own personal mission to make everything right in your world. he would be breaking a sweat trying to iron out every wrinkle in your dress just bc you mentioned it was ruining the photos of your outfit.

and of course people have their own opinions— about how you’re “walking all over him” and how “ridiculous” the lengths he goes to please you are. but he just shrugs. he doesn’t mind, in fact he enjoys being the one that you trust to ensure that there’s always a smile on your face. if he doesn’t do it, then surely you’ll find someone else that will.

Ushijima probably does that thing dads do when you say that you like a certain food and then they go out and buy an unreasonable amount of it

You mention to him that the mango you brought in your lunch that day was really good and then he comes home the next evening with about 20 mangoes. And you’re smiling bc he’s so sweet but at the same time you’re like what am I gonna do with all these mangoes

Thinking about running late for an important event and scrambling to get ready and for some reason all of a sudden nothing is cooperating with you. Your hair won’t lay down right, you can’t get your eyeliner even, and even though you planned your outfit weeks ago somehow you hate how it looks on you tonight. And Katsuki sitting at the end of your bed watching you run around only makes you more frustrated because he’s been ready for over thirty minutes while you just can’t seem to get it together.

So there you are standing in front of the mirror, with tears welling up in your eyes because you’re in such a rush that your hands won’t work properly and you can’t clasp your necklace. To the point that you just drop it, slamming your fists down on your vanity table and hanging your head to catch your breath for a second.

The sound catches Katsuki’s attention and he’s at your side immediately, totally unfazed because he knows exactly what you need. He picks up the necklace, clasping it before settling the pendant so it sits right against your chest.

“Hey, look at me.”

His hold on your chin is gentle yet reassuring.

“You’re fine, peach. Don’t cry, you’re gonna mess up your makeup.”

French Jean switches back to his mother tongue when he’s really tired, or drunk, or frustrated, or just randomly mid-sentence without even realizing. It’s like his brain goes back to manual mode anytime he’s under some influence that keeps him from thinking straight

Jean FaceTimes you every night when he visits his hometown over the summer. And he spends his days collecting little souvenirs to gift you when he gets back

Jean introduces you to all of his French friends and tries his best to translate all of their banter and inside jokes, even though you tell him not to worry about you and to just enjoy the time he has with them. He still wants you to feel included though, so he spends the night whispering in your ear trying to explain what’s going on in the group. (He conveniently doesn’t translate the embarrassing stories they tell about him though)

I think Jean would like to be manhandled just a little.. like he likes when you hold his face in your hands or better yet when you physically turn his head to make him look at something. Or when you grab his shoulders to move him aside when he’s in your way or pull him by the arm and drag him somewhere with you. He likes when you push him over to make room for yourself on the couch and when you force him to link arms with you as you walk down the street together. He just loves knowing that he belongs to you and he’s so smitten that he lets you push him around all you want, even if that’s physically

Jean and Connie strike me as bfs who would love to participate in “feminine” activities with you. Theyd accidentally interrupt you and your friends girls night and be so jealous that they weren’t invited. They won’t force themselves in (bc they respect boundaries) but they’ll come to you about it later like “babe i wanna gossip and eat charcuterie with you too </3”

And so you plan a date night where the two of you drink wine and watch chick flicks and do sheet masks. The difference tho is that Jean gets lowkey embarrassed that he enjoys it so much whereas Connie has no shame. Connie would join you at the nail salon and get a pedicure with you and probably get his fingernails painted too bc he’s secure in himself and won’t let anyone make him feel bad for what he likes

Jean loooovesss to speak for you. From the moment you started dating he silently appointed himself as your official spokesman. And it doesn’t matter if you’re present or not, he’s going to speak on your behalf.

Your friends are making plans while you’re not there and he’s already voicing your opinion. “If we go to that bar, then ____ will probably stay home. They hate that place.” Or he’s calling your job when you wake up with a sore throat like, “____ won’t be coming into work today, they’re not feeling well.” His favorite thing though is ordering your meals for you. He takes so much pride in knowing your preferences, “I’d like the Reuben and they’ll have the turkey sandwich, no mayo please.” (And he’s definitely chewing someone out if your order is wrong. You’re telling him it’s fine but he’s already snatched the sandwich away from you and marching up to the counter with lightning speed like “they actually didn’t want mayo on this.😐” He’s so annoying.)

Feel like eren can be so sensitive, not in the sense that he’s like easily offended but more so that it’s really easy for his mood to be affected by your emotions and the things you do.

He could have the best day ever but if he finds out you’re in a bad mood or had a rough day it’s like a switch flips. He can’t be happy if you’re unhappy. And on the other hand he can’t stay in a bad mood when he sees your smile or when you do nice things for him to cheer him up.

And then sometimes it’s little things you do (or don’t do) that just throw off his whole day. The morning after one of your sleepovers he’s a bit more broody than usual. Giving you one word answers and barely touching his breakfast and sighing every ten seconds. You’re used to him being dramatic but it’s been so long that you can easily tell he’s got something on his mind.

When you finally ask what his problem is he’s just like, “why did you roll away from me last night? -_-”
