“Why are you standing at my door right now?”
“Um maybe because I wanted to see you?” He replies, as if it’s the most obvious thing ever.
Eren lets himself into your apartment, kicking his shoes off by the door. He at least has the decency to neatly push them up against the wall next to yours before he’s trekking the familiar path to your bedroom as if it’s his name on the lease. Try as you might, you can’t ever stop yourself from letting him in, even when you desperately need a few hours of peace and quiet to finish the mountain of assignments you have due by the end of the week.
“Eren, I seriously need to get some work done today,” you warn him.
He’s already in the middle of removing his sweatshirt, his reply becoming muffled by the fabric being pulled over his head.
“Trust me, I’ll be quiet. And then once you’re done we can go eat or something.”
You throw him a skeptical look, but take a seat at your desk anyways as he makes himself comfortable on your bed.
Eren stays true to his word for a whole half hour. He’s tucked politely against your pillows, airpods in and you gather that he’s probably watching a movie or something from the way he’s got his phone propped up horizontally against your teddy bear. You’re able to submit your first assignment with no issues. The room goes quiet as your focus increases with each passing minute.
It doesn’t take long before you’re interrupted. It’s such a tiny sound, a quiet huff of air from your boyfriend where he sits on your bed. He’s switched positions now, laying on his back with his phone held above his face.
You avert your attention back towards your laptop, easily slipping back into your work. The first giggle, you can ignore. You give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he really couldn’t hold it in. But then the giggles become more frequent and eventually turn into full-bodied laughs. Nothing is that funny. Especially when you have fifteen more calculus problems to finish and two full lectures to catch up on.
“Alright. Get up,” you demand, already grabbing his hoodie from the hook on your door.
You’ve never seen a person’s smile drop so fast.
Eren’s dark eyebrows are furrowed as he returns his airpods to the case, quickly standing up to stop you from gathering the rest of his things.
“I told you I had work to do and you’re sitting there giggling like an idiot. Not the time,” you mutter, doing your best to herd him toward your front door.
“What? Ok- baby I didn’t realize I was even laughing,” he begs.
Despite his pleas, you’re shoving his belongings into his arms and shutting your bedroom door behind the two of you.
“Please? I promise I’ll stop, just let me stay.”
“Nope, it’s too late. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Those words all but break him. He’s fully whining now, but still lacing up his shoes, obedient as ever.
“I can’t even come back later when you’re done?” He frowns.
Eren groans when you shake your head, mumbling to himself as he sees himself out of your apartment.
You’re not even sat back at your desk yet before your phone dings with a text: a TikTok link from your boyfriend that you kicked out no more than thirty seconds ago.
jean would do so well with a high maintenance girlfriend.
not even someone who likes to get her hair and nails done and things like that (although he’d love to be the one paying for his gf’s upkeep), but just someone who gets a little too fussy over small things.
like huffing over your pillows not being fluffy enough or your sweater feeling too itchy. anyone else would roll their eyes at such a drama queen but he takes it as his own personal mission to make everything right in your world. he would be breaking a sweat trying to iron out every wrinkle in your dress just bc you mentioned it was ruining the photos of your outfit.
and of course people have their own opinions— about how you’re “walking all over him” and how “ridiculous” the lengths he goes to please you are. but he just shrugs. he doesn’t mind, in fact he enjoys being the one that you trust to ensure that there’s always a smile on your face. if he doesn’t do it, then surely you’ll find someone else that will.

Fiercely defensive of you
Eren will never let anyone speak poorly about you as long as he’s around
He seriously doesn’t tolerate any disrespect towards you ever
If it happens in front of him, he’s setting that person straight then and there
And don’t let him find out somebody was speaking ill of you behind his or your back
You tell him that you caught one of your “friends” talking shit about you and he’s even more angry than you are
When you’re around other people, he takes your side even when you’re clearly wrong
You could be playfully debating something silly with your friends and he’ll agree with every ridiculous and untrue point you make, no matter how stupid the both of you sound
And he’ll only correct you in private lmao

Super thoughtful
He remembers things about you that you don’t even remember telling him
Your order at a random restaurant, your preference for gold or silver jewelry, the names of all your friends
He seriously knows every detail about you and is so attentive to all of your needs
Like if you have a big test one week that you’re super stressed about, he plans a date that afternoon to help you unwind
Or if you mention you’re running low on your perfume, he’s got a new bottle sitting on your bathroom counter the very next day
He just loves doing little things for you to let you know you’re on his mind, and he doesn’t expect anything in return either. He’s happy to do you simple favors without a second thought about it

Insanely chivalrous
This boy is such a gentleman (he’s knight coded to me idc)
He won’t let you do anything yourself
Opens every door for you, kneels down to tie your shoes, makes you a cup of coffee every morning and brews tea for you at night
And when you’re out with him you won’t ever pay for anything. He won’t negotiate with you on that
He also compliments you so sincerely, not just on your appearance, but all of your personal and professional accomplishments
Goes out of his way to celebrate and congratulate you when you get promoted at work or do well on an exam
He was raised so well and he treats you like royalty
connie springer
Your comfort and happiness is his top priority
He will never let you feel out of place somewhere
If you’re nervous to do something or go somewhere for the first time, he’s right there with you supporting you
He introduces you to people he already knows and goes the extra mile to make you feel included in the group
When you guys go somewhere together and you start to feel anxious or uncomfortable or you just wanna go home, he’s leaving that very second. No questions asked.
He seriously will not ever let you feel unwelcome or awkward somewhere
And if it’s someone else making you feel that way then he’s definitely pulling them aside to ask what their problem is lmao

Very in tune with your feelings
Despite struggling with his own emotions at times, Reiner is always aware of how you’re feeling and can read you almost too well
He can tell what’s on your mind just by looking at you, and he feels your feelings as if they were his own
He cries when you cry, when you’re happy he’s happy, when you’re annoyed he’s even more annoyed for you
It feels good to have someone who can understand you emotionally and he’s always there to share your pain or your joy

Eren’s mental health has been all over the place for years but he gets to a point when he’s older that he realizes he really needs to sort it out
Enjoys journaling but really only remembers his journal when things are bad so a lot of his entries are lowkey illegible bc his brain is moving faster than he can write
And being in a relationship doesn’t automatically fix him ofc, so he does work really hard to improve himself while also considering you in all of it
He doesn’t like admitting it but he’s a crier :/
Probably an angry crier but uses all of his willpower not to do it in front of you especially if you’ve been fighting bc he knows how it looks and he doesn’t want you to think he’s victimizing himself
But if he gets frustrated or can’t articulate himself correctly then the tears are coming
Trust fund baby really badly (bc Grisha thinks money can buy a relationship with his son)
Never tries to act like he’s broke tho. He won’t ever brag about the fact that his parents help him out financially but he’s always willing to spot his friends for stuff when he can
And he’s lowkey irresponsible about his money when it comes to you specifically like if you mention to him that you’re craving something he’ll text you 30 minutes later something super ominous like “check your doorstep” and he’s had it delivered to you
Even though you scold him about it bc the delivery fees are ridiculous, if it makes you happy then he really couldn’t care less
Very very touchy in a relationship
Will have his head in the crook of your neck while you’re scrolling on your phone
Or clings to you while you’re doing chores
Eren is a pretty good boyfriend but he’s still very much a man sigh and he has so many typical annoying guy habits
He’s horrible about man-spreading, he’s a terrible grocery shopper, and he eats so much
And Eren is one of those guys that always has his hands in his pants :/ not in a weird way but bc his hands are always cold
Lowkey probably has his hands down YOUR pants or under your shirt from time to time. Especially when he’s sleeping, but he’s not even trying to touch on you he just likes the warmth and the closeness. Weirdo
I feel like he can get overwhelmed very easily especially if he’s trying to focus
Texts you randomly in the middle of the day “I’m about to explode this library with my mind” and it’s just bc the person sitting in front of him keeps clicking their pen and it’s driving him crazy
But at the same time he’s always doing stuff like that to you when YOU’RE trying to focus
He’s always drinking out of your water bottle even though he literally has his own!!!! And then gets annoyed when you ask him to refill it as if it’s not his fault it’s empty in the first place :|
French Jean switches back to his mother tongue when he’s really tired, or drunk, or frustrated, or just randomly mid-sentence without even realizing. It’s like his brain goes back to manual mode anytime he’s under some influence that keeps him from thinking straight
Jean FaceTimes you every night when he visits his hometown over the summer. And he spends his days collecting little souvenirs to gift you when he gets back
Jean introduces you to all of his French friends and tries his best to translate all of their banter and inside jokes, even though you tell him not to worry about you and to just enjoy the time he has with them. He still wants you to feel included though, so he spends the night whispering in your ear trying to explain what’s going on in the group. (He conveniently doesn’t translate the embarrassing stories they tell about him though)
idk I thought of this and wrote it in five seconds
eren: half think he’s weird/suspicious and the other half think he’s scary. all bc he literally refuses to say more than like five words at a time around them. you tell him he’s freaking your friends out and he starts whining about how he just doesn’t know how to interact with them. like idk try being normal maybe?
jean: tries so hard to be “one of the girls” that it just annoys everybody. always wants to be included in girls night or go on the girls trip and when you tell him no he’s genuinely confused. he’s not even trying to be overbearing he just wants your friends to like him so bad that it backfires bc he’s doing way too much :/
connie: he’s actually one of the girls. all of your friends love him bc he minds his business but steps in when necessary. like he does get invited to the girls night but politely declines bc he wants you to have fun. but trust he will be there to pick you all up from the function and make sure everyone gets home safe. (and lowkey all of your friends’ bfs/situationships hate him bc he’s given all your friends super high standards)
armin: they just think he’s such a cutie. he doesn’t say much around them but when he does speak he’s so polite and kind and just generally pleasant to have around. he also becomes a tutor for your entire friend group somehow
I think Jean would like to be manhandled just a little.. like he likes when you hold his face in your hands or better yet when you physically turn his head to make him look at something. Or when you grab his shoulders to move him aside when he’s in your way or pull him by the arm and drag him somewhere with you. He likes when you push him over to make room for yourself on the couch and when you force him to link arms with you as you walk down the street together. He just loves knowing that he belongs to you and he’s so smitten that he lets you push him around all you want, even if that’s physically
Jean and Connie strike me as bfs who would love to participate in “feminine” activities with you. Theyd accidentally interrupt you and your friends girls night and be so jealous that they weren’t invited. They won’t force themselves in (bc they respect boundaries) but they’ll come to you about it later like “babe i wanna gossip and eat charcuterie with you too </3”
And so you plan a date night where the two of you drink wine and watch chick flicks and do sheet masks. The difference tho is that Jean gets lowkey embarrassed that he enjoys it so much whereas Connie has no shame. Connie would join you at the nail salon and get a pedicure with you and probably get his fingernails painted too bc he’s secure in himself and won’t let anyone make him feel bad for what he likes
