Another week passed without a word from Dius. Velox tried to convince himself that no new were good news.

Ever since they'd left the Citadel he'd texted and called Mav regularly. He missed him a lot already. Even if his times curled together with Cato somehow chased away all the thoughts (well most of them) of Mav. That was just what good friends did.

It was soon lights out and Velox was laying in his cot down by his bike when he called Mav like he did almost every evening.
