Please accept this humble offerings of the mystreet s1 boys (+ my pookie wookie bear gene!)
I feel like in aftg at least every character was called “the best on the team” at one point or another and like....as they should 🙈🙈
The Foxes watching Doctor Who because we all know that would be funny asf:
Nicky has already seen it. He loves it. Probably has daleks on his pyjamas and a TARDIS painted on his fridge. He definitely sings along to the theme tune every time.
Nicky: DOOOOWEEEEEOOOOOOOO
Aaron: SHUT UP
Nicky: DOOOOWEEEEEOOOOOOOWOOOOEEEOOOOOOO
Everyone else: SHUT UP
Kevin takes it very seriously. He is a history nerd and likes the historical episodes... And then proceeds to tell everyone how horribly inaccurate they are.
"Vikings didn't have horns on their helmets" "Yes, Kevin. It's a sci-fi show that isn't exactly a serious documentary-" "But it's WRONG-" "WE KNOW BUT" "Now we've missed the plotline... AGAIN"
Andrew tried to act indifferent but secretly loves it. Nine was his favourite doctor and he was sad when he left after only one series.
He tries to hide how much he likes it, but one day, Nicky walks in on him making coffee and drumming his fingers against the kitchen cabinets and is DELIGHTED. Andrew still denies it.
Aaron, on the contrary, hates it. He can not see the appeal of the show AT ALL and only watches it because everyone else makes him and Katelyn sometimes comes along.
Neil gets quite emotional watching it because he knows what it's like to keep running and losing people. He enjoys the story and the aliens and everything, but sometimes saying goodbye to the companions really hurts. Nobody really notices this except Renee, who squeezes his hand whenever he seems upset.
Renee enjoys it but also, like Neil sometimes relates a little too strongly to the Doctor, particularly his whole "good man" dilemma. Neil also notices this in her and while he finds it hard to show support, one time he put his hand in Renee's when a scene hit a bit close to home. Neither of them said anything, but it was a moment of unspoken understanding between the two.
Matt is quickly converted to the fandom by Nicky, and by half way through series 1, they both aggressively sing along to the theme tune. This, of course, drives Aaron up the wall.
(Matt and Nicky definitely get each other a fez for Christmas) (this is even funnier because... Matt)
They also watch the comic relief/bonus episodes/deleted scenes when they can and cackle about them when they should be sleeping
Aaron: it's four am, please shut up
Nicky: Bingle Bongle
Matt: Dingle Dangle
Nicky: Lickity doo
Matt: Lickity da
Nicky: Ping Pong
Both: LIPPY TOPPY TOO TA
Aaron: I hate this family
Allison also hates this family
Allison doesn't like the earlier episodes, but starts to enjoy it more when Eleven comes in. She likes Amy a lot, but didn't like Rose or Martha. She can be harshly critical, particularly if the very 2005 special effects.
Dan is indifferent about the show but LIVES for the Foxes' reactions. I mean, you can't blame her, it's hilarious.
Wymack used to like Doctor Who and will still watch it sometimes, but when he finds out the Foxes are watching it, he has a breakdown, because it inevitably means inside jokes and absolute chaos and confusing, plus a lot of ranting from Kevin
And they do start making references in the court.
"Andrew, you're late for practice" "oh, wibbly wobbly timey wimey"
*power cut in the changing room* "hey, who turned out the lights?" At which point Nicky jumps so much he slips in the shower, pulls down a curtain rail and falls face first on the floor. When the power comes back everyone is very confused.
*when Abby is doing a medical examination and is checking out someone's eyes* "don't. Blink" and everyone needs five minutes to calm down
One time Wymack decides to completely mess with them and says towards the end of his speech as they go into an important match: "never be cruel, nor cowardly" Nicky has frozen at this point "Never give up, never give in" and the others start to catch on, then Andrew, of all people, stands up and says "AND NEVER EAT PEARS" and they lose it
Bonus: a reporter was outside recording the speech on their mobile and heard the whole thing and it goes viral. Help.
Basically they're all a bunch if dorks and it's brilliant
happy new year!! ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_
Also...what else could Aaron say in that situation except that Diane is great with family? To be fair, she is with Vic and has been pretty consistently from memory (which is sketchy).

I'm still rooting for all my old friends. Like the people I was best friends with ten, fifteen, even twenty years ago, I still hope they're doing well whenever I think of them. Whoever they turned out to be,
