Got a call from Poe Dameron today. He knows Solo is teaching Force sensitive younglings at the Academy, and since Rey and FN-2187 are doing that now, too, they thought we might be able to work out some sort of exchange student program.
Okay, first of all, I was like, “We’re the First Order. You’re the Resistance. Isn’t fighting us kind of your whole thing? Why would you want us to teach your younglings?”
Dameron was like, “Eh, it’s actually Palpatine we hate. General Hugs risked his life once to help me escape, and then split from the Final Order when Palpatine took over, so I guess he’s redeemed himself. I am a bit worried about Ren or Ben or whatever he calls himself, but Rey insists he’s gone Light Side. Either way, he’s dead: how much harm could he really do?”
“Wait...if you think Hux is a good guy now, why do you keep harassing him over the comm channels and calling him names?”
“Look at him, bro. He’s got a super punchable face and his shoes alone are probably more expensive than that ship you live on. You deal with him on a daily basis, and you mean to tell me you show him nothing but respect?”
“No comment.”
Perhaps Dameron and I have more in common than I previously imagined.
