Max releases first solo mini-album “MAXimum″
Origin’s Max has dropped his first solo mini-album! It’s no secret that Origin has skyrocketed to extreme levels of success in the nearly eight years since their debut, but no member has gone solo until now. Along with being the first solo debut from the group, the release of MAXimum is also Max’s first major activity outside of Origin as an individual.
MAXimum’s six-song track list is eclectic both in topics and genres, and at times within the themes themselves. Though it begins on the bright “Daydream”, by the end of the mini-album, Max showcases his more dispirited “blue side” in “Blue Side”. The journey between the two songs itself is broad-ranging across highs and lows. Max is credited as the lyricist and a contributor to the composition of “Daydream”, “Eureka”, “Airbag”, and “Blue Side (Outro)” and two of his labelmates appear as features on the mini-album: former Element member Hanbyul on “Eureka” and fellow Origin member Jihan on “Airbag”.
"Daydream” is the song that Max will be promoting off of his debut solo mini-album. “Daydream” tackles the topic of daydreaming of a different life where fame and the weight of being a public figure isn’t a part of the equation. The song and the music video are both bright in spite of the more existential topic. “Daydream” will be promoted for three weeks on music shows and b-side track “P.O.P (Piece of Peace), Pt. 1” will also be staged for the first week of promotions.
