You get people in your inbox I didn’t even know God could make. Bless you for dealing with them so gracefully
They are clearly suffering and projecting their issues onto a random stranger on the internet. They are beloved in the eyes of God, despite the poison that they direct towards me. I have to remind myself that I am no better than them, and I have been heartless with my words too. Hopefully they will learn to release some of their pain in more productive ways outside of being cruel.
But for now I had them blocked; eugenicists make me profoundly infuriated. I wish people would understand that the reasons why ill and disabled people suffer so much is because of the systems that make it difficult for them to live within society. It is systematic oppression and persecution. It isn't the fault of disabled people that they decide to "reproduce." My mother once told me: "the only reason I wanted to walk normally as a child was because my classmates used to spit on me and call me cr*pple-leg. I am not sure if I would have had that desire if no one was cruel to me. I do not think I would have suffered so much."
Have you ever felt completely calm in a bad situation?
Today I almost got into a serious car crash. I could have very well died if not be severely injured. I was lucky enough to make it out without a single scratch on my car.
There was construction but everyone was going at a decent pace as there will still two lanes open going in either direction. I was a fairly good distance from the person in front of me and drove as I always did. A sign on the side of the road caught my attention and I glanced away for a second to catch the whole sentence. That’s when it all went wrong. The truck in front of me hit it’s breaks and I had just barely looked back in time to be no less than 5 feet from crashing into them. I swerved right into and empty spot between them and the cones. But not wanting to run off the road I pulled it back to the left, my tires skidding and my back end fishtailing as I fight to keep my car on a straight path. I pulled right and left and right I don’t know how many times. Finally I came to a stop with the truck pulling past as if they were afraid i would almost hit them again. The person behind me was stopped a good distance back and I just slowly pulled forward back into traffic. It was the strangest feeling of my life. I had just gone through that experience but I was completely calm as if I knew it would be like that. My heart and hands were steady and a calm just washed over me as I continued on my way. A little farther back this time though.
The strangest part of it all is that it almost slipped my mind that this happened as I went on with my usual day. As if it was simply a bad dream that began to disperse as sleep left my mind.
Comienzas- fallas - comienzas- fallas y asi, un ciclo sin fin.
Eso es parte de la vida, una vida para experimentar.
Leave your harbor behind…
Leave your harbor behind…
A quote that I saved a while back inspired me this morning – “A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.” – John A. Shedd We are all “safe” if we let our fears prevent us from ever venturing out of the harbors that we create for ourselves. It is as if we become mimes, trapped in an imaginary glass box of our own making. It may be a place where we feel safe and comfortable, or…

252. time is finite
Time is finite. It’s the only unrenewable resource.
There isn’t a more effective way to figure out what is most important to us than to experience a shortage of time. What we choose to fit in those narrow moments of freedom, or deliberately place into our schedule because we can’t afford to miss, reveal to us what we truly value. We like to say things like, “if I only had more time…” but you don’t. And those important things you can’t live without, you always find the time to fit them in. So stop wasting your precious moments thinking about what you would do if you had more time, and instead think about what you could do to maximize the things you can’t pass off.
Worrying about what we can’t fit into our day still takes up time that we could be enjoying things we value. If you have been saying “if I only had the time…” about something longer than 3 months, chances are, you never will because it isn’t a priority. Let it go. Clear the space to focus on things that hold greater importance to you.
my whole high school experience so far has been a wreck...
freshman year: was raped, miscarried my rape baby (i hate calling it that, but), was bullied and lost friends several times, and was publicly attacked by my birth mother.
sophomore year: me and my sister were both sexually harrassed and assulted (by the same person), my nudes were leaked, i failed my college class, was constantly verbally and emotionally abused at home more so than usual, and my birth mother ditched us again.
junior year: was harrassed by a girl since summer prior to school for an entire year (i have physical proof), i lost the love of my life, and my birth mother is currently living with me who constnatly attacks me in any ways she can.
i really don’t know what bad things will happen in my senior year, but i know i’m gonna have a positive outlook on it because i deserved better than what i’ve experienced so far. but on that note, lemme refresh some GOOD things that happened those years...
freshman year: i found supporters for my pregnancy, grew two cup sizes, i got to see my dad again, and i gained a little sister.
sophomore year: i was commented on my body, my makeup skills improved, i met the love of my life, and was rewarded the only person in the state of Texas to recieve a perfect score on my reading/writing STAAR.
junior year: i’m in love and i’m more than happy, i finally gained a little brother (i have only sisters), i’m entering the medical field later this year, i joined two school groups that made me feel better, i have a better relationship with myself, and gained a lot of new friends who i adore so much.
my senior year is what i hope to be my best by far. i’ll guarentee it.
the greatest college experiences i had were in mankato. that’s what i will think back on when i’m older. the u was great. just a very different type of growth took place there
