Really pleased to have tested the #COVID #SafetyFirst safety process we have implemented at @edenflighttraining during my first #ExperienceFlights last night .... Insisting on completion of screening questionnaires, strictly controlling access to the school, ensuring all attendees use hand steriliser, wear face coverings and gloves and then cleaning down contact points in and around the aircraft and school worked well. Great flights out over the North East from Teesside and excited to see our airport functioning again with inbound and outbound flights ... Pleased to see our enthusiastic students back and flying with our Instructors too and looking forward to continuing the control mechanisms and safely working through the bookings to get everyone flying again. It is taking time due to the large number but we are getting there. At this time of the year we @edenflighttraining are usually very busy with our #PPL Training / #ExperienceFlights and #TrialLessons. My favourite times of the day to fly are dawn and dusk as the rise and setting of the sun over the #NorthEast countryside is a fantastic view from 3000 feet. A trial flight is a perfect gift and a great way to experience the freedom of flight first hand, whether it becomes the start of an aviation career or hobby or is simply a way to feel the thrill of the skies. There is no feeling quite like taking control of an aircraft for the very first time and we believe it is an experience everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. The flights range from a 30 minute experience through to a starter pack (3 hours), and this time can even be used towards the completion of a longer course should you wish to pursue one. Also, most importantly for many customers, you can take a friend or two in our 4 seater aircraft to share the enjoyment and fantastic views of the North East. If anyone would like to experience a sunrise or sunset Trial Flight flight with us once restrictions are lifted and the airport is open at those times just let me know and we can schedule that for you. One of my very favourite @edenflighttraining #ExperienceFlights is our exciting and exhilarating #Dambuster flight. Departing out and climbing to the north west from our base at #TeessideInternationalAirport we fly up the dale and then turn south east and descend to fly over the reservoirs and dams at #Baldersdale, recreating a Dambuster style mission whilst maintaining and observing Minimum Safe Altitudes (Operation Chastise of 17th May 1943) with some great opportunities for photographs and video...... then, departing the area to the north east we fly to and around the fantastic @cityofdurham and @durhamcathedral, returning to the south to land you back at our base thereafter ... opportunities arise during the flight for you to take control of the aeroplane (if you wish and after a full safety briefing and demonstration) and #TryFlying with our experienced pilots covering the dual controls at all times to@ensure your safety ...
