“Yuuri, are you sure this is everything you want to take with you? Don’t forget, you might not be coming home for awhile...make sure that you bring everything with you, including your treasures.”
“Don’t worry mom, I haven’t left anything behind. But where are we going that I need to bring all of my belongings with me? You, dad, and Mari left your own treasures at home.”
“...I promise it’ll make sense when we get there. Just relax in the flying carriage for now and get some rest. Phichit will be joining us on our journey so you’ll be in good company!”
The Katsuki family was a family of dragon shapeshifters that lived in a large stone castle to the far east of the globe. They ruled over the mythical creatures that inhabited the land, and were viewed overall as being kind but strong protectors that cared deeply for their people - though their history of war and ongoing feud with a certain kingdom had caused much debate over their reputation.
Yuuri was the youngest member of the royal family, a handsome prince with burgundy eyes, black horns on his head, and a scaly black tail behind him. He had large black wings that were silver on the underside, and his skin while still human, had faint silver scales on random patches of skin on his body. He had sharp teeth and long sharp nails which completed his dragon-like appearance. Though his status and class as a dragon made him intimidating at first glance, Yuuri was known for being sweet and hardworking, with a delicate heart that was easy to break.

Despite his mother appearing to be her usual upbeat, cheerful self, Yuuri could see that something was bothering her. Not only that, but he had also noticed that his dad had been rather quiet, and his sister was looking out the window with a rather sour expression on her face. Wherever they were headed, they weren’t happy about it - and Yuuri appeared to be the only person left in the dark.
He turned his head to look at his best friend Phichit, a centaur whom he had known for many years. As his most loyal and trusted friend, he had been made his royal advisor, and accompanied him wherever there was business to attend to. The centaur was busy taking selfies in the carriage, appearing to be unaware as to where they were going as well.
“Phichit...do you know where we’re going?” he whispered, feeling concerned about what was going on. “My family is acting a bit strange - I didn’t do anything wrong, did I?”
“Hm?” Phichit looked up from his phone and smiled reassuringly at his friend. “I’m sure it’s just another business related trip. The queen didn’t tell me what this trip is about or even where we’re headed, but it can’t be bad if they invited me along, right? I’m sure we’ll have a good time!”
