Alien Encounter: The Life and Death of Walt Disney World's Scariest Ride Ever

It didn't have drops or turns, but ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter was the most terrifying ride at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, in the 1990s.

I consider myself fortunate to have been able to experience this attraction once in its ExtraTERRORestrial incarnation before it became Stitch’s Great Chili Dog Burp.

It truly was terrifying, and amazing, and absolutely did not belong in the Magic Kingdom, but I loved it anyway.
